Despite my previous positive experiences with the shop, this particular visit left me with a negative impression. Initially, I sought a routine break inspection and oil change for my car, which had accumulated 10,000 miles. The shop recommended replacing the spark plugs at 120,000 miles, citing the absence of this service on Carfax. However, I was concerned that the previous owner may have already had the spark plugs replaced. Upon reviewing Carfax, I discovered that the previous owner had not had the spark plugs replaced. Despite this revelation, the shop proceeded with the replacement of the spark plugs. However, I was particularly disturbed by the lack of transparency regarding the condition of the old spark plugs. The shop did not provide me with a visual inspection of the old spark plugs, leaving me uncertain about whether the replacement was necessary. Furthermore, I was informed that I had a pulsating sensation in my brakes, which required scraping or replacement. The cost of this service was estimated at $600. When I start my car, the “0 mph” indicator remains illuminated, and I am prompted to enter an error code. Overall, I am deeply disappointed with this experience. Dealerships often charge exorbitant prices for repairs, which contributes to the decline in consumer trust. Consequently, I have decided to avoid visiting dealerships for future repairs. Instead, I will seek services from local shops, as I felt betrayed and mistreated by the previous shop. The manager attempted to address my concerns, but I believe that a visual inspection of the old spark plugs would have provided me with the necessary assurance to make an informed decision. More
