I subsequently learned the dealer is the subject of an Administrative Complaint filed by the Florida Dept. of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles for making false, deceptive and misleading statements with regard to the sale of motor vehicles. I spoke with someone named Brian, who seemed honest and straight to the point. He explained that all the specs on the car were outlined correctly on Autotrader. He answered any additional questions Inhad very patiently. I ended up purchasing the vehicle through their website and had it delivered to me in Seattle, WA. It arrived in good condition. I inspected it upon arrival with my neighbor, who’s is a mechanic and my friend, so he wouldn’t lie to me. He said the car was in operational condition, which was great news. Awesome car in pictures so we contacted the dealer, confirmed that all 71 pictures matched the car and asked about condition. Salesman said it’s a beauty, nothing wrong, nothing to hide. We accepted the full price but with free shipping to Columbus, OH so then we were told to wire funds (so eBay missed out on their fee) $8,799 and it would be delivered to our doorstep. What we received was a car that doesn’t run, nothing works, no heat, no air, holes in the canvas convertible, mildew, broken glove compartment, can’t open the trunk and pieces of the car just laying on the floor. NOTHING LIKE THE BEAUTIFUL PICTURES posted on their websiteor eBay. Nothing like the outstanding write up about the car. Now dealer will not answer the phone or respond to messages. We are senior citizens and my husband is a Navy Veteran living on our social security. Something needs to be done so no one else gets a bait and switch!!!!!! More
