My vehicle has been returned to this dealership four times for the same emissions related problems, including one instance where I was required to bring it back within 7 days of a prior repair being dec times for the same emissions related problems, including one instance where I was required to bring it back within 7 days of a prior repair being declared complete. Diagnostics repeatedly took weeks at a time yet root cause was never clearly or consistently identified. Repairs were performed, costs were incurred and the same failures continued. I’ve already paid over $4,000 and the dealership is now attempting to shift an additional $2,000 to me for repeat work on related components. Communication from the service advisor has been poor, defensive, time pressured and dismissive when legitimate questions were raised. Escalation to management did not improve the situation. I initially worked with one service director, who was let go by the dealership. I am now dealing with a second service director, yet the same lack of ownership persists. A loaner vehicle was provided, then abruptly demanded back without an alternative arranged immediately prior to a major holiday despite the dealership requesting the vehicle’s return and keeping it in service. I spoke directly with the General Manager twice, who stated he would intervene. That intervention never occurred. Instead, the matter was pushed back to the service department with no resolution and no follow up. This is not a misunderstanding it is a pattern of repeat repairs, extended downtime, cost shifting and management avoidance. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this service department. More
this is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. Spoke to salesman 3 days in a row and even the day I was going up there to buy said vehicle as was bringing a certified check. Show up and thrown to Spoke to salesman 3 days in a row and even the day I was going up there to buy said vehicle as was bringing a certified check. Show up and thrown to another sales person and he was straight up terrible. Asked for Sales manager and he refused, so we left and bought the same car an hour down the road for 2K less. Will never use any of Matt Bowers dealerships as this one ruined it for me. More

NEVER again will I use this place or recommend them. if i could rate this place a ZERO i would. More
They don’t communicate with you at all. Be prepared to call, text them and wait days for a response. Price is fair, wait times not good you could wait a week for a simple quick fix. I can’t Be prepared to call, text them and wait days for a response. Price is fair, wait times not good you could wait a week for a simple quick fix. I can’t prove it but I’m pretty sure someone messed with my vehicle because it broke down on the way home for something I didn’t bring it in for, funny right? Do yourself a favor and find another place to have your vehicle fixed. More
This has been my worst experience ever since buying cars. I purchased my last 3 vehicles from Matt Bower in Metairie. It has been down hill since I walked in the door. I called before going and was told they had new inventory on Traverse 2025. That was a lie. Only had 1 RED. I should of left right then. But they insist I take it for a spin and they could get me another color.. I could go on and on but my biggest issue is customer service. They all act like the old time salesman. They wo t return my calls. The finance officer doesn't work there anymore and I am trying to get my $1,000 GAP money back since I paid my loan off and went with another way lower interest. . Another lie BOA. They must have stock with them to push that financing. Stay away. More
If I could give 0 stars, I would. Prior to this year, the last time I brought my car to this dealership to be serviced was in 2022. Due to having 0 positive experiences, I swore I’d never go back. However, I felt forced to as my car started having the same problem they had fixed multiple times in the past (the shift to park error that doesn’t allow the car to turn off). I scheduled an appointment for 02/19/2025 for the shift to park error, tire sensor replacements, and a knocking noise coming from the rear passenger door. I notified the service advisor that my previous experiences had not been great and I will say that he remained communicative with me throughout the entire process, providing me with regular updates and I did not have to reach out first. I was pleased with this, as no communication had been a major problem in the past with this service department. The tire sensor replacements and shift to park were successfully repaired. I was informed that the knocking noise was being caused by the speaker in that door and that the speaker needed to be replaced. I paid $238.20 for the speaker replacement. The knocking noise resumed the evening I picked up the car. I brought my car in on 03/12/2025 and was then told that the issue was the radio, not the speaker, causing the knocking noise. They said the radio needed to be replaced for $717.96 but offered to take off $250. I told my service advisor multiple times that I did not believe the radio was the problem and declined the replacement. When I picked up my car on 03/14/2025, the radio was cutting out—an issue that had never happened before bringing it in. I returned on 03/17/2025, requesting the radio be repaired at no charge since their mechanics caused the problem, along with a refund of $238.20 for the unnecessary speaker replacement. Chevy refunded me and “repaired” the radio at no cost. On 03/21/2025, the screen went black, and both the radio and blinkers stopped working. Let me be clear: there was never a problem with the radio or screen before this. This place cannot be trusted. They misdiagnose issues, charge for unnecessary repairs, and, even worse, create new problems with your car. I’ll be escalating this issue. More

Not a rating low enough to describe the absolute xxxx that we were put through here today. Matt Bowers needs to do better. Was made an offer on a vehicle and told that it was being delivered to the store that we were put through here today. Matt Bowers needs to do better. Was made an offer on a vehicle and told that it was being delivered to the store and it would take about an hour. 8 hours later and we're informed that the vehicle that was promised was not actually available and they had a distention vehicle they could sell us for around the same price. Upon entering the store this morning at 10:30 we informed the salesman that we had been to a couple other dealerships and were shopping for the best deal on the car we wanted. They ran my credit, worked up the deal and I continued to ask to see the car before signing anything. I was told by John Lucas that this, "was just the way it was done." I had to sign for the vehicle first and then they would have it delivered to them. I signed the paperwork, i handed them a check after leaving to go get one and then was told it would be 45 minutes to get the vehicle to the store. After waiting for over an hour we were informed that the vehicle was not available because it was listed as New but has over 8k miles on it. That seemed a little strange but we asked them to locate another one that was the same. I was told that no other ones existed in the trim and color we wanted but we could go with a different one that was not even close to the one we had made the deal on. I wasted 8 hours of my time and the manager of the location, Hunter Landry, acted as if it was no big deal and basically told me, either deal with it or move on. It's not his fault nor his problem when it was he who located the original car and agreed to the deal. He said this to me while my wife was in tears because of three 8 hours at the dealership and the fact that they really didn't care at all about how she felt. This is classic bait and switch. I'm so disappointed in Matt Bowers and their entire team at this location. This should never have happened and they don't seem to care at all that it did. I will continue to let everyone know about their shady business practices and ensure that nobody that i know goes to any Matt Bowers dealerships. Which is a shame because I have a fleet of vehicles and some have come from his dealerships. DO BETTER MATT BOWERS!! Update!!! *** Contacted the General Manager, Jeff Elliott via text because he sent me to voicemail and will not return my call to discuss this disgusting experience. He texted back this morning and said, "I will call you this morning" it's now 3:35 P.M. and he has not called nor responded to my texts again. This is a sad excuse for a dealership. I've contacted GM, Chevrolet and the Louisiana State Attorney General's office to for formal complaints. BUYER BEWARE!!! More
