Bought two cars in 2019 from Matthew Chevrolet one was brand new one was used bought it from a seasons dealer who worked the GM side told me I would get a car to use when they changed my oil and all kinds brand new one was used bought it from a seasons dealer who worked the GM side told me I would get a car to use when they changed my oil and all kinds of perks never got one, but I want to have an oil change on both cars. Was that Matthew Chevrolet for three hours waiting and only had one car done They couldn’t tell me that it wasn’t gonna get done so I didn’t waste my time waiting. They just let me hang out and then didn’t have it done after three hours. I called to complain to the manager and service manager. Talk to them both and was told by Mike Ryder that I would be taken care of went in on the following Saturday I believe was the first one of the day and my car shot outside for a half hour before anyone even touched it if that’s how you’re gonna take care of people that’s great so I didn’t go there for almost a year and a half to dealer problem on my Chevy equinox called there ended up speaking with Jen, who is the only one I’ve ever spoke to told her my problem and that Mike Ryder said he would take care of me after the last problem so I was hoping he could get me in to get my proper looked at she told me somebody would call me by the end of the day and let me know so now it has been two whole days haven’t heard from anybody my car is broke and Matthew Chevrolet could care less. I will never do business with this company again no matter what I’ll walk first do not believe in xxxxxxxx because I was lied to my face that I would be taken care of and they can’t even return my calls and all the complaints. I read say Mike Ryder will take care of it while he seems to be the problem I guess nevertheless run don’t even bother to go there. More
When we purchased this Equinox (12/14/2020 ID #3GNAXUEV1ML330533) we purchased the extended warranty (Zurich for $2,999) and were told by sales person it covered everything except wearable items #3GNAXUEV1ML330533) we purchased the extended warranty (Zurich for $2,999) and were told by sales person it covered everything except wearable items (like tires, brakes ect.). It took over a year before Matthews cleared up that we even had the extended warranty. It was only cleared up because our daughter questioned them when she purchased her Subaru. We had also received a letter from GM Financial (3/18/21) that the sales contract and warranty were not handled correctly. We had oil change on 9/2/2025 and asked that they fix a senor in rear bumper. They said it was not covered as you have to replace the bumper and bumpers are not covered. This is just a way to avoid the expense of repairing a defect of the car that was not caused by any other actions from us. Using that logic removing any item not covered to get at a covered item would mean nothing is covered. Also at this visit we were told when checking out that they did not rotate tires as they left the best tires on the back for winter. A 2021 Equinox is front wheel drive unless you switch to all wheel drive The invoice (84835) clearly state they rotated tires. The tires were replaced 3/21/2025 and we had you do an 4-wheel alignment on 3/28/2025 at 55,907 miles (invoice #79270), they now have 63,411. I measured tires and they are the same. We have no idea if tires were rotated. At our first oil change (8/6/21) we asked that they check a tire that has been losing air from the day we purchased. They said they removed a nail and plugged but it never changed. I had my tire guy dismounted it, check valve and had remount and it corrected it. We didn't him to check for the plug and he didn't say anything about a plug. I have a real problem with how confusing your invoices are and how inconsistent they can be from one time to the next. I am going to start questing every time we go again IF EVER. I did your survey one or 2 years ago and was contacted about talking to them. I was not available at the time but sent an e-mail to the person who contacted me that I would be there on a set date for an oil change and would meet with them then but I never heard back from them. Overall we are well satisfied with the car but are very disappointed with Matthew and after talking with other it appears it is a very common opinion. More
When you set up an appointment for inspection and tires and you show up and they don’t have your tires you asked for and the price match is out the window because now they try to charge for a more expensiv and you show up and they don’t have your tires you asked for and the price match is out the window because now they try to charge for a more expensive tire. Twice I had horrible experience here and I will not be coming back for a third time. McCredy Norwich NY is the only place that will service my vehicle now. Shame I have bought two vehicles off your dealership and now that will never happen again as well! More
