Evanston Subaru has restored my faith in dealership service. I easily made an appointment, and when I arrived I was met with the organization of a service team, they were genuinely friendly and obvious service. I easily made an appointment, and when I arrived I was met with the organization of a service team, they were genuinely friendly and obviously able to cooperate with one another. The general area was very clean, which I am surprised that I noticed, but that too made me comfortable. I was quickly introduced to an excellent service manager, Rick Goodson. Rick was so personable, knowledgeable and ready to explain what the general service would entail and later communicated what was needed and why, and what could wait to be serviced and what could not wait and why. All of my concerns about the vehicle were addressed by Rick and also clearly in the print out, thank you. I want to thank Ken Cobb, the technician who found and fixed some interesting short cuts that had been previously been taken else where, as I said, faith restored. Now I am confident that I have found a really great Subaru Service Team at the Evanston Subaru Dealership in Skokie, IL and can put another 90K miles on my 2016 Forester that drives like it’s new. Lawrence was the person who met me when I first brought the car in for diagnosis, he texted me updates, and met me this afternoon when I came in to return the loaner that I had for 2 weeks and pick up my o the car in for diagnosis, he texted me updates, and met me this afternoon when I came in to return the loaner that I had for 2 weeks and pick up my own car. So often one has to deal with several people over so much time and I appreciated the continuity and also the way Lawrence did his work. . McGrath did not honor the service agreement I had with Evanston Subaru when I bought my new Forester there which was for free oil changes. The service tech promised me he’d call me the next day after spea Evanston Subaru when I bought my new Forester there which was for free oil changes. The service tech promised me he’d call me the next day after speaking with the manager to see if they could fix that. He never called. I will not buy my next car from any McGrath dealer. Maybe their new slogan should be “When you do the math, avoid McGrath.” More
