Dear Logina: Chaz Johnson is the service manager here at McGuire Cadillac. His interaction with you was not ‘racially driven’ as you proclaimed but rather realistically driven given the circumstance with your vehicle that you purchased at a different Cadillac dealership. When you first visited our dealership having issues with the rain sensor and high-beam control we inspected your vehicle at no charge and informed you that as result of a non-GM windshield being installed by the selling dealer which possibly affects these functions we were unable to inspect the vehicle conditions further since GM does not authorize warranty work on a non-GM installed windshield. You later stated that you had since returned to the selling dealer for a proper windshield install but were still having issues with the above-mentioned items and wanted McGuire Cadillac to pursue this. However, you were informed by Chaz that a service inspection charge would be necessary to confirm evidence of a true GM windshield being present as well as a proper installation being performed. It seems your issues lie with the selling dealer at this point and we suggest a return of your vehicle to them for a resolution of any remaining issues. Regards, The McGuire Cadillac Team

To whom it may concern: We are not sure if this review applies to us since no reviewer name was mentioned, however, we do recall an AC recharging service being performed on a vehicle well in excess of 100,000 miles recently. In that case the work was performed as requested only to have the system lose its charge shortly after due to a possible small leak in the system that would not be apparent with the initial recharge. In any event, an evaluation of the entire system would require a labor rate in excess of the initial request for a refrigerant add which was fully explained to the customer. This particular vehicle of mention was not purchased at our dealership. We did, however, assist this customer in the past with a trade-in deficit that allowed a smooth transition into a previous vehicle that he has since traded elsewhere. The customer's frustration may lie ultimately with Cadillac as he perhaps feels that all has not been done to satisfy his objections with his vehicle. The customer was encouraged to speak with his original selling dealer in a further effort to satisfy his concerns since in his opinion we were apparently unable to do so.

At McGuire Cadillac we strive to not only meet but exceed customer expectations in our Service and Sales Departments. This philosophy has served us well over our many years and has been reflected in our being recognized for excellent service from Cadillac and from our loyal customers. In this particular instance the issue that arose was not the fault of the customer nor our service department, but was the result of an outside non-GM warranty company being a bit slow in satisfying the final service bill. Our policy is to have any service bill satisfied before releasing a vehicle. The customer's statement that a tax form was the hold-up was not true since the company already had that in their possession. The customer was offered the opportunity to pay the outstanding balance and have the warranty company reimburse her directly but she declined that offer. After some back-and-forth between the warranty company and our service department the bill was satisfied and the vehicle released to the customer.
