Oil change, rotate tires? Didn't vet copy of work completed Don checked me in was pleasant. However, when I asked how much my 50,000 check up on the car was $850.00. I was taken back. He tried to make me understand with a story of his wife's hair appts. Costing over $200 each. What does this have to do with my car, and would he told that story to a man? I didn't receive my paper work showing the work they had done that day, stating the girls were having issues, so he would mail it to me. 😔 More

Far better than Expected I went to McGloughlin Chevrolet after observing their website for a week or two and then calling the dealership on a Saturday night. I inquired about whether the deeply discounted vehicle I was interested in was still available. And Bruce Lee said it was. I made an appointment with Bruce Lee to see him early afternoon the next day. I arrived a bit early and was casually looking at the vehicle (Equinox) I was interested in. Soon, a very mild & friendly young man came out to greet me. That was Elliott Dawson. He let me know that Bruce was there but was busy. So Elliott said he would assist me until Bruce was freed up. Elliott offered to move the vehicle so we could take a test drive and we did so. Elliott answered all of my questions & so I decided to buy the Equinox. The large TOTAL discount was segmented. About 15% of that discount required using GMAC financing. Bruce Lee told me about that fact when I first called Saturday night. No Tricks. No Big surprises at all. My wife will be the primary driver of this car and she had things explained to her by Elliott when we picked up the car the next day. This is the first time I've recommended a Big City car dealer in over 20 years. More

He said he was new there and was very open and easy to talk to, he knew most things about the car we were interested in and was helpful with our questions. I would have given 5 stars, but because the air filters were filthy we had to replace them. I think it should be a standard service like changing the oil. Jeff in finance was very nice as well. He took the time to listen to what my needs were, and addressed them professionally. The interim sales manager however was a complete and total jerk. One thing didn't go his way and he acted like a petulant child. Thankfully, the finance person intervened and removed him from the situation, otherwise I was about to walk out of the store. Had it not been for the rapport with the salesman, I would have walked. This all stemmed because the initial Finance offer for the vehicle was not adequate for my needs. So I applied for a loan from my own bank on my phone, was approved, thus removing the need to proceed with financing through the dealership. When middle manager guy realized this, he started making claims about not being able to take possession of the vehicle unless I signed a backup agreement through the dealership. When I refused because I'd already been approved through USAA, he literally acted like a petulant child wanting to take his ball and go home. Selling the vehicle seemed the farthest thing from his mind. As mentioned above, thanks Lee the finance person and the sales person made up for this person's lack of tact. And only because of them was the sale saved. Since I was already approved for a loan independent of the dealership, I could have easily gone to any other dealership and completed the transaction. More
