My Review of Mercedes-Benz of Massapequa:
We were looking to replace our 1999 Ford Taurus with a more up-dated pre-owned vehicle. We had located two vehicles of interest at this dealership. We arrived late on a rainy Tuesday night, but were greeted and treated as if the morning had just begun. We were introduced to Chris who was most gracious from the get-go. He showed us our "target" car and readily afforded us a test drive. Even though it was nearing 8:00 p.m., we did not feel at all rushed. Upon return, he recommended another car to us which had just been "traded up". Although the car was older than we had originally been considering, the mileage was 50K (quite reasonable to us) and the car was in "cream-puff" condition. It was also a Mercedes Benz, which we had never owned before. We took one look at the car and were hooked! We went for a short test drive and the rest, as they say, is history. Upon bringing the car to our own mechanic (after we made our purchase), after his inspection, he told us that if we hadn't already bought it, that he would have told us to "grab it". We were appreciative to Chris for bringing us to this car and for his encouragement and helpful attitude. There was no pressure whatsoever as we made our decision. He was friendly, down to earth and accommodating from the moment we met him. We were very comfortable working with him, and we are so thrilled to be the new owners of a Mercedes Benz...all of this made possible by Chris Loba. Thank you Chris - and thank you to the Mercedes Benz Dealership of Amityville for your graciousness and royal treatment.

My Review of Mercedes-Benz of Massapequa:
I had previously leased 2 other Mercedes from another dealership on Long Island that is very close to my house. I was looking to return my leased 2009 GL450 early and replace it with another GL450. My local dealer who I leased an ML350 from in January treated me like a stranger and sent me a "nice to meet you" card in the mail. I went to Massapequa Mercedes (even though it is 40 min from my house) on an excellent recommendation from a friend who recently leased a car there. From the start Hank treated me like an old friend. He offered me a very fair deal that was much better than what I was offered by my local dealer who I've previously done business with. I got everything settled in 1 hour on Saturday, turned in my old GL450 and picked up my new GL450 on Tuesday. It was a great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hank and Massapequa Mercedes to anyone in the future.

Joe is a wonderful person to work with. I purchased a C Class from him in 2008 and he did everything in his power to make sure I got what I wanted. He even went out of his was to make sure I was satisfied with my vehicle after the purchase. I am now in the process of trading my 2008 for a 2011 c class and I decided to work with him again. He remembered everything about my family and career when we met again today after 3 years, impressive. He is making sure and doing everything in his power to get me into my new car asap. Joe did everything to make sure that I was very happy with my purchase. Wonderful person to work with and very easy to talk honestly and open to. GREAT JOB JOE BARRENO!~!!!

My Review of Mercedes-Benz of Massapequa:
Well to start off with, the car we purchased within two months has had nothing but problems. There quite a few issues but I will only mention a few. First, something I would normally not say is a major issue is because of hiding the fact. MBs have an airflow wheel for the AC/Heat vents like any other car. Apparently MB has problems with the inner workings frequently. Well this car had problems, but the dealership obviously adjusted the vents so that you couldn't notice when you sat in the car.

The problem is that whatever holds the inner mechanism, which is attached to the air flow wheel, in place breaks, so the air flow wheel and the rest of the inner workings get pushed in. What this does is cause a separation between the gears on the front grill and the inner working so that you can't turn the vents left or right. A minor problem sure, but the problem is that when we looked at the car and picked it up, the air flow wheels were not pushed in but the second you touched them they easily fell in. What this means is that the dealership pulled them out so that anyone who was looking couldn't tell it was broken (you can see them recessed inside the dash if they are not pulled out).

Other issues - ah the warranty they offered. When you are shown your financing docs they show you the monthly payments with a warranty. We asked if it was a factory warranty and bumper to bumper, were told yes and went ahead knowing how costly MBs are (we leased 3 previously so had full warranty). Well, it's not a bumper to bumper warranty like they said nor is it factory, it's a third party warranty. We learned this when going to the service department for service within a month of taking delivery. Yep that's right, the car also has transmission troubles. After researching and asking mechanics I was told it's a valve system that is about $2500 to $3000 to repair and it's a known issue with these MB models. Well of course the dealer said it was something else. A $7 part and they charged me a $100 deductible... oh yea, that's right, that bumper to bumper warranty also comes with a deductible - yep, total misrepresentation. Anyway, got the car back and it still shifts terribly, though better than before.

There are other issues, but in short, I would not recommend this dealership. We should have known better because we visited once before for a new car purchase. If we ever decide to buy another Mercedes, which I probably wouldn't, I would never come back here. We were Rallye customers before and never should have left.
