The moment I walked into Michaels Autos, I was warmly greeted by Rich, who eagerly listened with attention to detail as I shared the “Necessity” I currently had. He then introduced me to wonderful inventory—what a perfect business to come and visit! Rich was attentive, kind, and completely tuned in to my preferences. When I ruled out certain colors and models, he immediately adjusted the list, making the whole process smooth and frustration-free. He respected my need to see things on paper, printing out detailed comparisons of few vehicles options I was considering, and let me take my time reviewing them before offering a test drive. Being an engine kind of guy for nearly 20 years to go fully electric was a total turn over. But his sales skills and knowledge really made me feel comfortable and it was like he knew me well, I was thrilled to find someone like Rich—easygoing, thoughtful, and completely adaptable to how I like to buy a car. Kudos to Frank for the assist and Rich for making things happen even going up stairs to talk to higher ranks bankers for the perfect loan for me and my family! More

Never heard of a car costing more if you don’t have a trade in or didn’t want/need financing. Manager also told me they get kickbacks from finance company’s. Seems very shady and unethical at the least. Don’t waste your time like we did…. More

From start to finish, Rich handled the entire process with professionalism, transparency, and efficiency, most importantly great communication back and forth between the entire sale process. Rich kept me well informed every step of the way, providing regular updates on the loan process and ensuring the car was marketed effectively at the time of purchase. Rich also took care of everything—from a the loan aspect of it to the transportation handling, negotiating with few banks to get me fair overall deal and finalizing the sale. I appreciate Rich honesty and dedication to getting me the best deal possible. Buying a car from out of town can be stressful, but thanks to Rich and Michaels Autos the entire process was seamless and hassle-free. I was going to buy from Tesla but the experience was the opposite of this place (no sales staff, dirty vehicles, high prices and zero cusomer care plus you wire the money over which a lot of people do not trust inclusing me). So if you want a high quality used Tesla I would recommend you come here. More
Sidney Coton and Franco helped my son purchase a 2017 Tesla Model S. Both were very professional, no high pressure, answered all our questions and made the drive from Riverview, worth our while. Michaels Autos associate Richard Gray is a slimy and disrespectful associate, he demeaned me and my mother the whole time while we were there making slick comments. Started off wanting to get a 2020 Alf disrespectful associate, he demeaned me and my mother the whole time while we were there making slick comments. Started off wanting to get a 2020 Alfa Romero Gulia Ti and at the end we left with nothing after we had found out I needed more time to get credit history. At the very beginning this salesman treated us like we were less than and acted like we knew nothing, after saying the car is making a weird sound and the engine is visibly shaking while idling he chocked it up to it’s a luxury car with an a 4 cylinder, i drive a BMW 335i E93 twin turbo. Mr.Gray told me to get 8 credit card and put at least an $9000 down payment on the vehicle even though I could buy the car outright for its price I was looking into financing but I wouldn’t buy that car if it was free that salesman is slimy and wanting to make a quick buck on a car that has obvious problems that he wouldn’t disclose. When they say, “we will run a soft inquiry on your credit” that is a lie and will then run a hard inquiry without first letting you test drive the vehicle, so by the end my 710 credit dropped 15 points I walked with no car and was talked down too the whole time I am a United stated navy veteran and this was a complete joke of a company if you allow your salesman to treat their customers like this and also let them make shady decisions and deals. I am both pissed and embarrassed. I am writing the review that I wish existed before I did any business with Mike’s Auto. I wish I’d never heard of them. All I wanted to do was p I am writing the review that I wish existed before I did any business with Mike’s Auto. I wish I’d never heard of them. All I wanted to do was purchase a car and go about my business. At this point, I have a car that is undriveable, an outstanding car loan, AND a huge repair bill. There’s a lot to unpack but it’s worth 5 mins of your time before you lay down thousands of dollars of your hard-earned money. I reside in another state and purchased a car last spring. I had the car delivered to me in June 2022. While driving the car at the end of September, the engine blew. I was towed to a local BMW dealership for evaluation and repairs. They estimated repair of a blown engine at over $50K (yes fifty thousand). Their analysis concluded that at some point the car was subjected to water and sustained major damage. The local dealer couldn’t even look me in the eye when they suggested that I get the “full” vehicle history. From local dealer service tech - “Upon inspection of your BMW we found signs of water, determined by traces of rust left behind. We found this in the air inlet, the turbo charger inlet and numerous coolant passages. We found rust stains around the spark plugs. It is our opinion that this vehicle ingested water thru the air filter, which led to catastrophic damage to the interior of the engine. The piston rod came out thru the side of the block.” I come to discover through my own research tracing the “full” vehicle history back to its origin in NJ, these items that were NOT on the Carfax. 3/12/21 – Fault Performance Malfunction – Engine, Starter and Engine Replacement 9/2/21 – Water Issue – Did not Start - $29K cash insurance claim, replace air filter The car is still under the manufacturer's warranty but BMW refuses to honor given it was not a defect. Since the car has about 5000 miles and was only driven 2 times on extended road trips (600mi/each trip), I certainly have not driven the car to excess or subjected it to any water hazards. The water was introduced prior to my purchase. Mike’s Auto claimed that the “passed their inspection” and since I bought it “as-is”, they are not liable. I have pictures of the rusted assemblies and local service advisor comments as further evidence of water in the internal car systems. In my conversations with Mike’s Auto, before they offloaded me to their attorneys, they gave a ton of excuses and weak explanations. That should be enough to give you an indication of the type of dealership this is. You’ll probably have a good buying experience. You’ll even see the smiling faces of customers on Day 1 of car ownership, and I would have been one of them. My face was totally different on Day 100. This dealer’s stock line is “we’ve been in business for 25 years”. So was Charlie Ponzi and Bernie Madoff. There’s much more to the story and I cannot wait to get in front of a judge and/or jury. Don’t feel that you are trapped and have no recourse if you sign an as-is contract and something goes wrong after you leave the lot. Hopefully, you will never be in this predicament. Bottom line: I would not recommend this dealer. Consider my tale as you make your purchasing decision. At the very least, get an independent inspection. More

The cons: 1) When we arrived to look at the car, after first confirming the price on the phone, the sales rep informed us that price would be $2,000 higher unless we traded our car in and bought financing from Michaels. We protested vigorously about “bait-and-switch” until the owner came over and, after discussion, agreed to the posted price. They offered us $500 for our used car, but instead I sold it in 24 hours on Craigslist for $4420. 2) Paying for the car was a challenge, because the dealer did not want to pay a $60 wire transaction fee at his bank, and we did not have $32K in cash. 3) While we waited overnight for the wire transaction to clear, the staff balked at giving us copies of all the forms we signed! They relented after protest. 4) The car, which they had bought from a dealer in NY with 32 miles on it, only came with one key. When I asked for a second key, they gave me a business card from a local locksmith, who quoted me $300 for a duplicate key. 5) Three weeks after we paid for the car, Michaels still had not registered the car in our name in FL. I called to follow up and Michaels told me the dealer had 30 days by law, and they subsequently completed the registration and informed me when it was completed. Overall, we are happy with the car, yet the purchasing experience was a bit weird and uncomfortable. For us, it was 2.5 stars. More
