My Review of Mid-State Toyota:
My family has bought 4 vehicles from this dealership. I bought a 2000 Tacoma new there for my first personal experience. When I needed another vehicle with more room, this was the only dealership I even considered going to. I went in and was greeted by Jimmy Way. Mr Way is a pushy arrogant snake in the grass who will treat you like an idiot. I remembered him from my first visit. I had hoped Phil Stutts still worked there as he sold me my Tacoma. I avoided Mr. Way like the plague and ended up dealing with another salesman (Mr Robbins I believe). I told him what I was looking for and my price range. I also told him I was not looking to buy that day. He showed me some vehicles, and I test drove 6-8 different vehicles. I took a few days and did my research on the vehicles I had looked at. I went back and told the salesman which vehicles I was still interested in. I took them all for another test drive. I decided on a 4 year old 4Runner. The sticker price was a little more than I had wanted to spend by about $1500. He went and talked to the GM. They knocked the price down to what I wanted to spend, including tax tags and title. My salesman and I ran a Car Fax report (they only sale clean titles) and 20 minutes later I drove away in my 4Runner. I did not need financing for this vehicle, but based on my first experience, they aren't pushy over whether you get it through them or not. I have never had a bad experience at Midstate Toyota other than dodging the one snake of a salesman. I still go there for service and maybe a new FJ Cruiser in the near future.
