Also there are grounding noises when pressing the brakes. We took it back and the they supposedly fixed it but it is worse. We have left messages with the service associate that helped us and the service manager but neither have called us back. Totally disappointed and it appears we received a bad brake job and they are unwilling to fix or resolve it. Bad business and customer service. More
David J Peterson 2022 Silverado LTZ Topic Event Experience Summary " Murdock had my truck for almost a month, my truck runs much worse now than before it was serviced by Murdock, LTZ Topic Event Experience Summary " Murdock had my truck for almost a month, my truck runs much worse now than before it was serviced by Murdock, they delivered it back with the check engine light still on, it is scary to drive up a hill, it is gutless and even after taking it back to fix they still didn't get the check engine issue resolved. Even the pictures they sent me to show the job was finished show the light still on. I was misled and deceived on the price of repairs plus the value of a trade in, and the quality level of the parts. I paid 300% more than I needed to if I had used a different dealer. I was told i was getting a new engine and then a refurbish was installed. At no time did the Murdock people look out for me as a customer. Only when the Jerry Seiner Dealership made a better offer to help because a truck with 64k miles shouldnt break down did anybody try and help me. I am joining a group that is preparing a class action lawsuit for these engines because this type of failure is too common. I'm not sure what qualifies as a lemon but my Silverado might be a lemon. I will follow up with GM. My wife wants me to call Get Gephart on KSL, but I think BBB and GM are the best places to go to get treated fairly. " Pre 60k mile warranty check up On May 10 2025 I took my Silverado into Murdock with 59k miles and asked them to check everything out for items that would be covered by the warranty. I suggested there was a lunge when the truck shifted gears. They printed off a list of cookie cutter items to do and didn't really look at anything covered by the warrant. I took their list to the Burt Brothers in Centerville and asked them to check out these items. Murdock has a bad reputation and does price fairly and I trust Burt Brothers. Anyway BB checked out my truck and told me they couldn't in good conscience to many of the things Murdock wanted to do since the parts were fine. The Truck breaking down on Trappers Loop "On June 20 2025 we were pulling a 21 foot boat (small) and the truck had done it many times before. After about 5 miles on the road, the engine overheating light came on and then the oil overheating light came on and then the truck is stopping message came on about 5 seconds after and then the truck died right in a busy lane of traffic going up Trappers Loop. I had to get my family out and up on the side hill to get away from traffic. The highway patrol came as well. The drivers and the patrol men all commented that they don't see this much on a Chevy truck this new. When the truck broke down on the hill near Snow Basin Ski Resort I was asked by the tow truck driver where he should take my truck. I told him Murdock in Woods Cross. I was thinking they were as good as anywhere else, I was wrong. " Jerry Seiner Dealership Example A fried called up Jerry Seiner and described the situation , the miles on the truck and JS said they could work with Chevy to make it right. They knew having a truck with just over 60k miles breaking down and stranding a family on the highway wasn't a good look, safe or proper. Based on the quick analysis by the tech at Murdock stating a new engine was needed, Jerry Seiner negotiated my part of the bill down to 10% or about 1250 dollars. Murdock didn't even try and help the situation. Jacob confirmed that it is a new engine which it is not and opposite of the promised. A little bait and switch without telling the customer. Shelby in Sales also confirmed it was not a new engine. Unmet Service Manager Commitments /Promises "Since Murdock was quoting me 13-16k to fix the truck and JS was 10% of that we brought a tow trailer to Murdock to get the truck and take it to JS. Jacob must have told the service manager about the situation so the service manager came out and talked to me and promised he could do the same things as JS and since it was already in Bountiful I should leave it at Murdock. I said if you can do the same thing then i wi More
I’m a U. S. Navy veteran and recently purchased a used 2018 Ford F-150 from Murdock Chevrolet in Woods Cross, Utah. I’m sharing my experience to help protect o S. Navy veteran and recently purchased a used 2018 Ford F-150 from Murdock Chevrolet in Woods Cross, Utah. I’m sharing my experience to help protect other service members, veterans, and consumers who expect integrity and safety when buying a vehicle. After driving the truck home, I noticed visible dry rot on all four tires, which concerned me given that the dealership had claimed to have performed a full inspection. I later spoke with General Manager Casey Bingham, who read directly from the dealership’s internal inspection notes. According to the GM, their mechanic had documented the need to replace the tires and had verbally identified dry rot, noting the tires were toward the end of their typical 6-year lifespan. Despite this, the dealership passed the vehicle through inspection and sold it to me without disclosing the tire condition or providing the inspection report. When I requested a copy of the inspection, I was told it would not be provided — That means: The issue was internally known The dealership chose to withhold that information I was not given the opportunity to make an informed safety decision After continued escalation, I was eventually offered a full refund, which I accepted. While I appreciate that resolution, this situation highlights a serious breakdown in safety practices and consumer transparency. More
Well Murdock, I'm really late with this but, I feel that it is important (enough) to follow up. Your Dealership and ESPECIALLY Lanney Lish have been so good to us! You worked thru all our wants, need that it is important (enough) to follow up. Your Dealership and ESPECIALLY Lanney Lish have been so good to us! You worked thru all our wants, needs and hiccups to get us in our truck. We looked for 8 months (A LOT) and no other dealership wanted to work with, or for us. Not Dodge, Ford, Chevy nor GMC. Thank you, We reccomend you (constantly), to friends & relatives. Dear Ms. Lish, it was such a pleasure to get to know (and to work with) you. Being in our 70's, we have made many vehicle purchases. None of those had a salesperson work SO HARD for us! All the best to you and yours! Thank you, again. Sincerely, Mr. & Mrs. Crane More

If I could give Zero stars that's what this business deserves.I cannot wrap my head around the fact that a reputable business would take advantage of an elderly, grieving, woman. They swindled my 80 yea deserves.I cannot wrap my head around the fact that a reputable business would take advantage of an elderly, grieving, woman. They swindled my 80 year old mother out of more than $20,000. How does it make sense to trade in 2 vehicles both in excellent condition, less than 5 years old, and very low mileage, for a car with obvious body damage, older than 5 years, and with a mileage of 79k. She even tried to undo the transaction in less than 24 hours and all they could do was basically say sorry what's done is done. She ended up getting an older car, with very high mileage, and obvious body damage. Not to mention the fact that it is difficult for her to get in and out of it. She returned home with this car continuing to feel humiliated, upset, stressed, angry, and tearful. More

If value you and your family's personal safety, DO NOT buy from this dealership. If I could give "negative stars," I absolutely would. I bought a used car from Murdock Chevrolet in 2022 and although it wa buy from this dealership. If I could give "negative stars," I absolutely would. I bought a used car from Murdock Chevrolet in 2022 and although it was absolutely my fault for purchasing a vehicle without seeing it in person, the saleswoman lied extensively about the vehicle I purchased. Of course, this is unfortunately to be expected with used car salespeople, but this is so bad, it's truly a safety concern. When the saleswoman said "everything works on the vehicle, it was a guys daily driver and he just needed something bigger," this was a complete lie. When I first purchased it, I spend hours and $100s of dollars replacing broken headlights, taillights, and even blinkers that didn't work. It also doesn't even have a proper emergency hand brake and I never would have purchased it if I saw it in person, which again, is my fault but you expect to be able to have some sort of trust of people when you spend $1000s on a used car. Unfortunately, since this dealership in Utah and I live in Colorado, I was not protected by the "Lemon Law" which I would have immediately would have returned the vehicle under that and got my money back or had the vehicle fixed if the dealership was in Colorado. The worst part is even I if I saw the vehicle in person, I would have not been able to identify the major safety issues. I recently had my mechanic take a deeper look into the engine bay and there was DUCT TAPE holding together multiple important parts in the engine. My mechanic said "I can't believe they sold this car to you like this. It's got to be the worse car I've ever seen sold by a dealership. You're lucky you didn't drive it much or else you could have been seriously injured with these components being held together by duct tape. I could see this coming from a "shady private person," but it's shocking you bought this from a dealership. I hope you didn't pay much for it." I would NOT RECCOMEND buying from this dealership as they clearly do not mind putting customers safety at risk at long as they make a sale. This is only the "tip of the iceberg" with this vehicle, and it would be a novel if I wrote everything that's wrong with it including extreme safety concerns with the engine (Parts missing, air intake/flow system held together by duct tape, clutch parts completely missing, emergency break completely broken, windshield cracked in multiple areas, windows don't work just to name a few, there are SO MANY more). I would be absolutely embarrassed to be an employee or owner of this dealership being okay with putting people's safety at risk just to make some money while being completely DISHONEST with customers. I truly hope this doesn't happen to anyone else as I was lucky enough to catch these things before something terrible happened to me or my family who obviously would ride with me. I'm not even comfortable doing that with this vehicle at this point until I can spend even more $1000s getting it safe to drive. It should go without saying that a dealership that's okay with selling a vehicle with multiple parts ducts taped in the engine (and all over the vehicle too) should probably not be utilized by anyone if you value you and your family's personal safety. I am truly in shock and how extensive the saleswoman lied and the absolute poor condition this vehicle is in. I'm more shocked when things work correctly on this car than when they don't which shows the extremely poor of shape it's in. I guess you can't trust anyone these days which unfortunately is my fault. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this place to avoid a headache like I did and continue to go through with this vehicle purchased from Murdock Chevrolet. There are plenty of other reputable and honest dealerships that I would recommend before Murdock Chevrolet. More
