They were all very likable and helpful while I waited for the salesperson to finish his phone call and tend to me. Even when I saw and test drove the Mini Cooper I was interested in, there were still no red flags. Unfortunately, I soon realized I was actually in the "Twilight Zone" and literally saw the stereotypical used-car experience come to life in real time. In the space of one week these folks went from likable to detestable! They ruined my excellent credit rating by making their own decisions regarding the financing of the vehicle, resulting in numerous hard inquiries, instead of contacting me first. FYI, I went to this dealership with pre-approved financing from my own bank so their decisions created unnecessary chaos, left my pristine zero-hard inquiry credit report in tatters, and I ended up having to go to my bank anyway when they could not fulfill their promises to better my bank’s rate and do so with only one hard inquiry on my report. To top it off, Brian Kelly, the Finance or Office Manager or whatever his title but NOT the salesperson I dealt with, at one point used pressure tactics to try to get me to pick up the vehicle before my insurance was to become effective. Let me be clear, I made my insurance effective and picked up the vehicle one day before they said it would be ready and I was never advised they were having trouble with their finance company. Furthermore, NYAUTOFIND had sufficient time from the date I first came to see the vehicle to the date I picked it up; to advise me they had a problem with their finance company, Westlake Financial Services in California. They delivered the vehicle on that date and Nick, still not the salesperson I worked with, asked me nicely to please leave a positive review for them as he closed the driver’s door after I settled into the seat. Then “Rod Sterling” continued the narration of this story. Once Brian Kelly realized their finance company had not come through, he contacted me again and became aggressive and bluntly, just nasty, calling constantly and harassing me. As I stated, I was unaware there was a problem and as a matter of fact I called James, the finance person I dealt with at NYAUTOFIND on at least two occasions before and after I picked up the vehicle to get the exact name of the Finance Company for my insurance Company and again to ask when I would receive the finance paperwork so I could set up payments, etc. Immediately after NYAUTOFIND made me aware of the financing situation, I simply contacted my bank, received my financing and a check was sent to NYAUTOFIND, who incidentally is not an accepted dealer on the bank's list, so they had to be approved. Once NYAUTOFIND received my Bank's check, in record time, I never heard from Brian Kelley or anyone else again! Typical! All said, Nick, here is my “positively hope not to deal with NYAUTOFIND again” review and if anyone else decides to deal with NYAUTOFIND please be cautious! I only pray the vehicle, unlike the dealership, remains likable! More
You "Auto Find" somewhere else to buy a car. Pun intended I was looking for a second car, something inexpensive. This dealership has lots of Mini coopers so I inquired about one I liked. I was c Pun intended I was looking for a second car, something inexpensive. This dealership has lots of Mini coopers so I inquired about one I liked. I was contacted and submitted a credit application. He asked me for my paystubs and driver's license which I provided. The next day I hadn't heard anything so I called him. The bank won't approve it unless you put down another thousand dollars. Why would I finance a car at a high interest rate if I had unlimited funds lying about? Not possible I told him. I offered to choose a less expensive vehicle if he could seal the deal. Let me see what I can do. After giving him the stock number of the replacement vehicle he said he'd work on it. Next day I texted him and he said he was still working on it. Two days later he texted me: I'll be in touch. That was 3 days ago. This dealership must have their sales staff on salary. Because if he was on commission he would not be ghosting potential customers. Their guaranteed approval is a complete scam they will not get you approved unless you have stacks of cash. So I would avoid this place. After reading their reviews, I think I dodged a bullet by getting ghosted. Thanks Nick More

I read the NY Attorney General's settlement against used car dealers in the Bronx and Long Island where used car dealers used fraudulent sales tactics and practices to cheat New Yorkers and my experience is car dealers in the Bronx and Long Island where used car dealers used fraudulent sales tactics and practices to cheat New Yorkers and my experience is almost identical with the same practices described in those complaints. I purchased a "certified" used Mini Cooper from NY Auto Find on May 16, 2024 and took delivery of the car on June 8, 2024. I noticed that the car was bellowing blue and grey smoke. Before this I was told the car was in excellent condition, that it had been serviced by the dealer before shipment and was certitied like all their cars. I took the car to a Mini dealer and was told the turbocharger and exhaust pipe had to be replaced, that this issue was longstanding and with the amount of smoke from the car-impossible to miss. I was told that a condition of the purchase was that I buy a warranty for over $2,600. The warranty has an exlcusion for pre-existing conditions. I was never allowed to see the warranty before signing it. I only received the warranty copy on June 13, 2024. The whole process of buying the car starts online where you have to agree to the warranty before you get to the next page to even see the interest rate. I informed the salesman that the car was generating a lot of smoke from the exhaust-he told me that is totally normal and to drive it. He was just trying to get me to wait beyond 30 days. When I told the dealer by text message and then by formal letter what the Mini dealer found (repairs in excess of $7,000)-they told me that their service manager Austin Thomas would contact me. Austin said initially that they would pick up the car and fix it for a fraction of the costs. But then made a reference to my being a "%% year old woman" and said I would have to ship the car from Chicago to New York. I was defraufed and am now having to pay over $7000 in repairs but am sharing this in the hopes that it prevents someone else from going through what I am. More
