Quoted $115 for troubleshooting. First one in door. Waited 4 hours for results. Service writer lies, says her was looking for me when I was sitting 50 feet away from him the entire time. I couldn't figure out what the clicking noise coming from my left rear tire was due to on my 2004 Lincoln Town Car. I replaced the brake pads which did nothing for the noise. I finally came up with the idea that the noise had to be the cause of the parking brake being faulty. I tried to fix it myself but I didn't have the correct socket to take the wheel off. I took it to Hawk Ford because I was impressed by their parts department which I had used previously. I knew dealerships charged ridiculos prices but I didn't think I could fix it myself. I walked into service and was told it would be $120 to look at it. Paul also said the $120 would be put towards the cost of the repair if I decided to repair it there. Paul came back an hour later with a price of $240 to fix. I believed they would have to take off the entire rear wheel to get to the problem. I was mistaken. They took off the rear rotor and accessed it that way.There was a loose brake shoe in there making the noise. I was told they would take out the parking brake apparatus so nothing else would come loose. They did nothing of the sort. They found the loose brake pad and took it out and that was it. They didn't even take the other rear wheel off. They even charged me a $25 disposal fee, totally ludicrous. I was happy to get the clicking noise gone but I was lied to and charged for work that wasn't done. I felt physically violated when I left there. I will NEVER go there for service or anything else again. It's a rip-off machine. More

Andy is friendly, courteous and efficient (GREAT). My experience continues with my (GREAT) mechanic Andy MacDonald who does the job on time and it is done right every time I come in for service. Finally the great experience ends with the (TERRIFIC) service manger Ken Klein who wants to know if I am satisfied and if I need him to do anything else. This is a terrific team. Go Hawk Ford! More

My truck has been in the shop for a total of 4 day in the past 30 days. On my first trip for a malfunctioning charging system I was charged $257.00 and was told I had a corroded wire. Three week later my truck returned on a tow truck, the electrical system was completely dead and a mounting bold for the alternator was missing. Later I was approached by the services rep (Larry Kocheny) and advised that my battery had a dead cell and that was the problem and that I was responsible for the whole bill including the tow, aggravated by the lack of support I did ok the fix. 45 min later Larry Kocheny returned and told me my truck was still not charging. I run a handy man service and I have lost three days of work, $600.00 of income and all my work is set back I can’t recommend that any one do business with this Chicago land dealer and there is a strong possibility that this will initiate a civil action agents this dealership Kindly: Bentover More

My 2000 windstar lx sport (50k miles) was in for check engine light and intermittent metal screetching from engine compartment followed by engine quitting when stopped at light. Dealer replaced intake ma engine light and intermittent metal screetching from engine compartment followed by engine quitting when stopped at light. Dealer replaced intake manifold gasket and new valve covers for $770. Within 3 days screetching returned along with the engine quitting. Made appointment through service mgr. then decided to go to local independant shop (thank god), as they accurately diagnosed the problem upon my description, and promptly changed out the cam sensor and housing. They gave me the old part and I was able to duplicate the screetching by turning the shaft with my hands. Cost: $250 and they told me their computer indicated the sensor error code; funny the Ford dealer's computer couldn't do that especially since I come to learn this is a common problem with these 3.8 Ford engines. So much for listening to what the customer tells them about why they brought their car in for service! Next time I'll talk to the computer! More
