Edward W. Napleton opened his first automotive business in 1931 on Chicago's South Side. With a $700 loan, a strong work ethic and a belief in common courtesy, he opened the Napleton Buick Service Station. Francis Napleton, Edward's son, was by his side to help foster the growth of the young business in its early years.
Napleton's first dealership was a DeSoto franchise. When that brand was discontinued with little warning, Napleton quickly aligned itself with another Chrysler nameplate, Plymouth, eventually being awarded several additional franchises. Edward and Francis both believed in hard work and exceptional customer service, values that they passed down to the next generation of Napletons. Five of Francis' eight children have worked in the auto business their entire lives.
Edward F. (Ed) Napleton, Francis' son, is a third-generation auto dealer. He began his career as a kid sweeping the floors at the dealership owned by his father and grandfather. He moved up the ranks, serving as a technician, then in sales and finance, and eventually as a general manager. At just 23 years of age, Ed became the youngest car dealer in the United States when he was awarded a Pontiac dealership in Blue Island, Illinois.
Today, the Ed Napleton Family operates more than 79 franchises in eight states. Taking pride in helping each community they live and work in, the Napleton Family name has become synonymous with excellence and teamwork. What started as a small family-owned business has blossomed into one of the most forward-thinking dealership groups in the country. Four of Ed's five children have proudly joined him in pursuing the family business and have a hand in the company's day-to-day operations.

The Fun Of Buying A New Car This car buying experience has been fantastic. If 6 months ago some one was saying I would be buying a new Hyundai, I would have thought them crazy ,b This car buying experience has been fantastic. If 6 months ago some one was saying I would be buying a new Hyundai, I would have thought them crazy ,but, one test drive was all it took. I traded in a mini van that somehow became to big for our family of two, so, we decided to pick out a sedan. I test drove a Camry,Accord , Nissan and a Chevy Malibu. In my opinion the Sonata offered a better ride, a quieter cab,better handling, and more safety features. I just enjoy driving it. We took a trip to Nashville IN using the backroads and after we got there, I didn't feel tired or fatigued. At my age 71 this was great. I think you could pay more, but, you can't find a better value than Hyundai. More

Surprise Purchase! I went into Napleton for an oil change on my Tuscon and wanted to speak with a sales rep because my lease was ending in about 6 mos. I informed them I went into Napleton for an oil change on my Tuscon and wanted to speak with a sales rep because my lease was ending in about 6 mos. I informed them I had actually planned on purchasing my current vehicle at the end of my lease and they ran those numbers for me but also what it would look like for me to get into a new Tuscon. After some negotiation, they met my request and I walked away in a new Tuscon without having to put anything down and the same payment as my prior lease. I've always enjoyed the staff at this location, even when it was still Butler Hyundai and would recommend them to friends and family! More
