My daughter being on vacation, lets Dad do her grunt work. Her baby is an Acura 2008 TL. I dealt with Tina Bowman yesterday and you could not have ask for a more professional and trusting individual. The waiting room and all its amenities you know you are going to be paying more, but that is what an Acura owner expects. I took her TL in for a leaking Power steering pump. Turns out, this was under recall and was addressed at my daughters last service visit. Seems the hoses deteriorate and fail. They replaced the hoses then. However, they created another problem of an improper O-ring somewhere in the reassembly which failed. Got the 45 point inspection and they recommend a timing belt change and rear brakes. $1,000 for timing belt, and $250 for rear brakes. Give me a break!!! I suggested BreakAway for $100.00 and Tina said "if you want them to squeak." Thinks quick on her feet. But really, Brakes are brakes and a company that only does Brakes is going to build their reputation by doing a quality job. While waiting for the car I wondered into the show room, and talked with nice kid named Bobby. Showed me the 3 different models and with the higher gas mileages, my daughter will probably go for one. I would definitely recommend this dealers ship to define the problem and check for recalls. I probably would look somewhere else for the actual repair. Dad Jim Gardner PCIM More
I wont name names, however I quit using the service department as soon as my service plan expired. They are exceptionally rude in the service department- looking to squeeze every dollar from you possib department as soon as my service plan expired. It is uncomfortable even being in that service department because of the poor customer service and unprofessionalism. I would never give them a dime without a second opinion(I've caught them in fibs) - even with a confirmed issue they will overcharge you like crazy. My 09 TSX is a great car but the service department has kind of destroyed the Acura experience as a whole. More
This is one of the pathetic service center. They always says we will call you in a hour, but they never call you. worst service center. These guys recommended to do the transmission flush to my 03 acura and i asked them if i change the transmission flush, is that get effect my transmissions, they said it won't happened , i did the transmission flush at this service center, then after month i am having the issue and after 2 months my transmission gone, when i ask them they said i have to pay around 4000+ for new transmission and it's not their problem. they service center Representatives are awful, I don't recommend to go this service center unless you have lot of money Don't believe these guys whatever they says check with other dealers. The service department at this dealership is horrendous! I took my car in because it had a shimmy at speeds in excess of 70 mph and I was pretty sure it was a bent rim. After having my car at the dearlership for 3 days, they did not fix the problem. When I called to complain that it was still doing it, I was then told that "the speed limit is 70." ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!?? I spent $30K for what is touted to be a type of finely-crafted machine less than a year-and-a-half ago that they can't get to drive properly at a minimal over the limit speed!!! So I took my car to another Acura dealer where they diagnosed the problem as a bent rim within 5 minutes. Lo & behold, the car runs like the day I bought it again. I will never, never do business with Acura at Oxmoor again. I'm a big fan of the Acura brand and am on my 2nd Acura now but my trust was nearly lost after this incident. If Oxmoor treats all of their valued customers so special then Acura should have ripped their brand name off this dealership a long time ago. Unbelievable! Also be wary of the services they try to sell you at your regular service intervals. They tried to tell me I had to spend about $600 at my 15K service for the service that were needed. So I did my own homework and found out that they were trying to sell me services I didn't need to the tune of about $400. More
