My son took his 2012 MAZDA CX-7 to the service department because it was smoking and running bad. A repair shop in the neighborhood that looked at it said it needed to go to the dealer because it needed a ne because it was smoking and running bad. A repair shop in the neighborhood that looked at it said it needed to go to the dealer because it needed a new turbo charger and his business did not do that work. We made an appointment and was not contacted for a week. Left messages with no return calls. After being told by Neil Huffman Mazda that it needed a new motor AND a new turbo charger (for $12,000.00) we took it to a REPUTABLE repair shop and was told the turbo charger needed to be replaced (for $1900.00) and they could have ready in 2 business days. BUYER BEWARE! More
I spent the last hour retrieving my wife’s car from one of the service technicians who took her car to his house in Bardstown, KY because “…it needed to have some miles put on it after some warranty work w of the service technicians who took her car to his house in Bardstown, KY because “…it needed to have some miles put on it after some warranty work was done.” Only found out because my wife has a tracker in her car and wondered why it was not at the dealership at 8 p.m. and was being driven around Bardstown, KY. Called Service Manager and he says this is routine. Doubt many people would expect their cars to be driven to someone else’s home for the night 30+ miles away. I suspect he is telling the truth that this is routine as the service technician had the “service ticket” with him which tells me he knows he needs to take that paper home in case he gets pulled over so he can show why the car is not in his name. Bottom line is if you want your car fixed and don’t mind some extra wear and tear and miles on your car, take it to Neil Huffman Mazda dealership service. More
Bought new Mazda6 a month ago and worked with Milena Hendricks. She was very professional and a real pleasure to work with. I returned to dealership for additional service on car and it was worked on an Hendricks. She was very professional and a real pleasure to work with. Appointment for recall...no parts were ordered Received a recall notice on our 2015 CX5 for rear hatch dampers. Called Huffman and made an appointment for recall repair. They scheduled appointment for 2 weeks later to allow time for parts to come in. We went there on our appointment date and time only to learn from service manager Greg Chernak that they didn't have the parts. No phone call was made to us to tell us that so we didn't waste couple hours planning this visit. Service advisor Gene was apologetic for this but Service Manager Greg was rude and not concerned about our inconvenience. I'm glad we bought our vehicle from Royal South Mazda in Bloomington and will now schedule any service appointments with them. Their customer service has been excellent. More

Dropped the car off on in the evening of May 9 so I would not have to be late for work the next day. I asked to be contacted with an estimate of the charges and an estimate of what the warranty would pay before proceeding with service. Several days after leaving several messages I was told they were behind because a tech was off for the week. Then I was told they had not done any work because they could not duplicate the problem. I called on Monday, May 15 for status and was told by the receptionist that they were very busy but Gene said he was still looking at the car and trying to duplicate the issue we were having (severe shaking at all times and a grinding noise when backing up). They would call me with more info as they had it. I received a call today from Gene and was told his master tech was out until NEXT Monday (May 22) so it would be at least NEXT Monday before anyone could look at my car. He said he could not duplicate the problem. He said if we did not want to wait til next week we could come and get the car and then bring it back next Monday first thing for the master tech to look at it again. Gene said he had started the car and could not see a problem, no warning lights came on he said. I said there were not warning lights just vibrations and grinding noises. I asked if he had actually driven the car and he said NO, just started it and let it run. This car has been at the service center for 8 days now and no one has even tried to drive it to see what is going on and now they want me to either pick it up and bring it back next Monday or let it sit there another 5 days before anyone will take a look and perhaps give an estimate. They did say we could come out at 1 today to show them the problem we were experiencing, but still no one will look at it til May 22. This service center is 30 minutes from me, so it's not just around the corner. I will have to take off work to go and "show them what the problem is". If a minute had been taken to just drive the car, the problem would have been apparent. And why were we not told when we dropped the car off on May 9 that no one would be looking at it until May 22? Will not recommend this service center to anyone. More

I HIGHLY DISCOURAGE anyone to t After some recent flood damage to my beloved Mazda3, I had it serviced at Neil Huffman Mazda in Louisville, Kentucky. I HIGHLY DISCOURAGE anyone to take their vehicle there. Neil Huffman took 55 DAYS to finish 3 repairs on my car, resulting in unreasonable amount of time in a rental. My insurance company did everything my policy covered and more, but Neil Huffman Mazda refused to assist in any way with the financial burden of a rental car for 25 extra days (loaner car, reimbursement, incentive, etc). The overall customer service was poor, and the services provided were unsatisfactory. Again, I do not recommend Neil Huffman mazda. More
