Took my Ford in for a strange noise in front end, thinking it was one thing. They were able to locate my issue, which was something completely different, and repair it for me within a day. The car I purchased developed “significant issues” within days of purchase. I tried to get “issue” resolved within a timely timeframe, however was told that since I “paid cash”, there was little that company days of purchase. I tried to get “issue” resolved within a timely timeframe, however was told that since I “paid cash”, there was little that company could do. I must agree that Molly + Dave were sympathetic + caring. After 1st 30 days, I haven’t contacted them further as Dave told me that he was going to pursue getting me a different, “hopefully better transmission” to replace the one I had at time of purchase. It was as though perhaps Toyota of Palestine was aware of “issue” but because my “issues” weren’t present at “time I drove off the lot”, they were my responsibility. The problem is a bad AVS solenoid on transmission. Palestine Toyota said repair/replacement would be $1,995. I’m personally aware of 3 other families that have purchased vehicles from (Palestine Toyota) that will NO LONGER have future dealings with them due to this issue. My personal mechanic showed me from U-Tube that “all 3 transmission solenoids can be replaced for (purchase of kit for $180). The solenoid that is faulty is $79 BUT NOT $175 part + $1,700 labor.! Therefore since in my first 30 days of ownership (by the way, I love my Subaru Forester + also my mechanic said that the AVS solenoid is a common part that goes bad). I JUST DIDNT expect mine to go bad within 72 hours of purchase of vehicle. Thanks for allowing me to vent. Wish I could recommend Palestine Toyota + even though there are many Christian personnel + they play local Christian music, I DO NOT FEEL that I was treated in a way that Christians SHOULD CONDUCT their businesses.
