Brought my car in for an oil leak. Another shop diagnosed it as the oil pan, but the dealership insisted it was the head gasket — a $3,000 repair. I trusted their expertise, paid for the work… and now the leak is even worse. When I went back, they now said they need to do exactly what the first shop did — an oil dye test to pinpoint the leak. So what you’re telling me is, I brought my car in for an oil leak, and instead of doing an oil dye test that would tell you exactly where the leak is, you just guessed — and charged me $3,000 to fix it. The most frustrating part? If the $3,000 repair had actually fixed the leak, I wouldn’t be writing this. But it didn’t. And when I spoke to the dealership, I was told they basically did a surface-level diagnostic before deciding it “had to be” the head gasket. Now they’re doing an in-depth diagnostic — the oil dye test — after I’ve already paid $3,000. Why wouldn’t you do the in-depth diagnostic first, before recommending and charging for such an expensive repair? As a school teacher, $3,000 is a huge sacrifice, and to end up with the same (or worse) problem is extremely frustrating. At this point, I suspect the first shop’s diagnosis may have been right all along. Shout-out to Thomas Fox for excellent customer service and professionalism — but the repair accuracy and diagnostic process here have left me questioning this establishment. I strongly urge anyone to get a second opinion before committing to costly repairs. More

Recommends work to be completed that does not need to be completed. Told me $89 for oil change plus tire rotation cost up front. Then went to check out and charged me $240.48. After visiting many dealerships, Jordan listened to my plea and had no issue assisting me in finding a solution to repair my 2005 Chevrolet SSR Pickup Truck. He introduced me to one of your mechanics that was familiar with this classic vehicle. His knowledge of and expert troubleshooting was impressive to say the least. Jordan is an excellent communicator who kept me informed during repairs. I picked up my vehicle better then I left it. I did this review because Jordan wouldn’t let me walk away unsatisfied. His can do attitude won me over immediately! Everyone in the service department was professional and treated me with respect every time I visited service. I felt like a new truck owner, but knowing Chevrolet still has a 19 year old truck on the road is a true testimonial they build great vehicles. I’m really not a review customer but felt you needed honest feedback that Parks Chevrolet Huntersville got it right. You all have earned my loyalty. As a retired Marine, recognizing a job done well, above and beyond expectations deserves the highest compliment from the public. I hope you will recognize them as well.
