My experience with purchasing from Paul Thigpen Ford of Waynesboro has been excellent. Sammy understood that I knew what I wanted and listened to me. He didn't pressure me and respected what I wanted. The Waynesboro has been excellent. Sammy understood that I knew what I wanted and listened to me. He didn't pressure me and respected what I wanted. The whole dealership seemed as though they were there for my benefit. They answered my questions and asked some of their own in order to help me find the vehicle that I wanted. Thanks, Sammy! Thanks, Paul Thigpen Ford of Waynesboro! More
This is my fourth time purchasing a vehicle from Waynesboro Ford. I always leave more than satisfied with my purchase. This time I’m overjoyed. They took care of me the entire step of the process. Have brought my truck to this dealership and only this dealership for service for years. They know more about my truck than I do as they are service specialist. So, why when I brought my vehicle in for an dealership for service for years. They know more about my truck than I do as they are service specialist. So, why when I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation was I quoted one price on check in but was charged over $100 at check out??? Answer, because they didn't quote me a price for a DIESEL. Really unbelievable. It is a Ford, you went outside and started it up to get the mileage, and you have all the records right there on your computer. I was very upset, so upset in fact that I left the dealership with receipt in hand but didn't realize until much later they didn't give me the results of the 21 point inspection they use to provide. The next day I received a call from the dealership asking about my experience. I communicated all I have disclosed here to the lady representing this business and she asked for my email (which they already have as they emailed an appointment confirmation) and assured me she would email me the 21 point inspection results...that was nearly a week ago and no, I have not received that information. As for the price discrepancy, no apology, no acknowledgement that I should have been quoted an accurate price as the representative was fully aware that my vehicle is a diesel. So disappointed. The work performed by the technicians may be great but the personnel at intake and check out are below standards and not providing the results of the 21 point inspection to the customer is as good as saying those checks were not performed. Totally unacceptable from respectable business. More
The number one priority for the staff MUST be customer satisfaction; not closing the deal or survey ratings. The vehicle I agreed to buy, the one I shook hands with the sales manager (Byron), on 30 Aug 24 satisfaction; not closing the deal or survey ratings. The vehicle I agreed to buy, the one I shook hands with the sales manager (Byron), on 30 Aug 24, was not the one delivered to me on 3 Sep 24. Worse is they didn’t tell me about it. I realized the next day (4 Sep 24) and immediately contacted my sales person. I also spoke to the finance manager who said he would contact the general manager. I showed up at the dealership on 5 Sep to address my concerns and the GM (Kevin) refused to meet with me. The vehicle I agreed to buy had more options and an MSRP of $71+ and Byron and I agreed to a discount of $3k. I put $15k down and received $15k for my trade in. The vehicle I took delivery of has less options and an MSRP of $68,285. So effectively I ended up with less truck for the same price (no $3k discount). I contacted the Paul Thigpen corporate offices on 5 Sep 24 to voice my concerns and a few hours later, Kevin called me. When he finally understood what my issue was, he didn’t apologize for the mix up and refused to renegotiate the price of the vehicle delivered. I asked for a 3-year service contract instead and he agreed to it. I should have been told the vehicle I wanted was not available so I could evaluate my options. Perhaps I would have still chosen the one delivered at discounted price but instead someone else made the decision for me. My trade-in was in great shape, paid for, which meant I did not have to buy a vehicle that day. More
