We took our 2022 Volvo XC-60 Recharge in to Pedersen Volvo for an annual maintenance check, and were totally delighted with the professional service we received. Everyone there is simply top notch! Like a great steakhouse or amazing doctor you may have to wait to get in. Like those examples though it’s well worth it. You can go to other shops and get heartburn instantly. When visiting in FoCo, I started having car problems at the end of my trip and didn't feel comfortable driving it for the 12 hour trek home. I dropped it off at Pedersen Toyota to see if they could run some diagnostics and let me know what might be the issue. I contacted them a couple of times to inquire as to its status, was eventually told a technician would be looking at it. After a couple of days I was connected with Casey with the service department. He was extremely insensitive to my situation, had a crass, patronizing demeanor and told me their customers have to wait a month to get service so he did not know when they could get to my car. I asked why this wasn't previously relayed to me as I had called and texted a few times and was literally just sitting a hotel room waiting for them to look at my car. He didn't care at all, laughed about my situation, and made no effort to help me in any way. I asked him if, considering my situation of needing to get home coupled with how busy they were (who actually takes their car here is beyond me!!), if he could refer me to another car service place which could work on Lexus. He laughed and said Denver or Greeley, I reminded him that my car was not in good working order and that it would be unsafe to drive it that far, he did not care. I fully understand that they were busy and have other customers but it is the treatment that I am most upset about, it was already a very stressful situation for me and for Casey to not even recognize that on a humanistic level was extremely offensive to me. I ended up getting my car, doing a quick google search, easily found a local repair shop that serviced Lexus, they stopped everything they were doing and helped me immediately. I feel that Toyota and Lexus in general, needs to know about how customers are treated after purchase and will be messaging the corporation as well. This could have been handled so much better and I would expect more from a seemingly reputable dealer. More
I used the oil change express service, and they got me in and out of there in an hour. Then, sent me over two Toyota service, and they got a small but important issue fixed for me quickly, and were extremely and out of there in an hour. Bought 3 new cars from this dealer over the years so very disappointed with recent service problem. Emissions testing couldn't be completed due to blown fuse to OBD . Peterson service claimed there was no pr disappointed with recent service problem. Emissions testing couldn't be completed due to blown fuse to OBD . Peterson service claimed there was no problem and charged me $75. Took vehicle back for emissions testing with same result. Couldn't connect due to blown power fuse. Returned to Peterson's service department who claimed everything was in order. Asked service manager to check power fuse which was indeed blown! He claimed the emissions testing center must have just blown the fuse as Peterson's computer can't even connect if that fuse was blown !? Then this service manager said they have had this problem multiple times. So why wouldn't you bother to simply check this fuse originally before charging me $75 and the hassle of wasting 2 days of my time driving back and forth ?! That's your idea of service ? No mention of crediting me my expenditure because the service department didn't take 5minutes to check a fuse they had a history of knowing was a problem in other similar cases. Then to blame the emissions testing center of causing the problem and doing a shoddy job. By the way with a new fuse the car passed easily at the same testing site and on the same equipment. Sad to think Petersen was willing to lose a proven costumer over $1 fuse. More
