Rear brake service was performed here on my 2019 Ford Transit. Less than 8,000 miles later, while driving on the highway, the rear axle bolts came loose and the vehicle required an emergency repair out o Transit. Less than 8,000 miles later, while driving on the highway, the rear axle bolts came loose and the vehicle required an emergency repair out of state. The nearest shop to where the failure occurred found that multiple axle bolts were missing and noted the axle was extremely close to detaching. They explained that this type of failure should not occur under normal circumstances following proper brake service. On this vehicle, the rear axle bolts must be removed for brake work, making that the last time they would have been touched. I was stranded on the road for nearly a week while arranging repairs, incurring significant expense and disruption. I contacted Performance Ford of Moab in July to request a warranty review and provided documentation. In August, I was told the issue had been escalated to ownership and that a response was forthcoming. Despite multiple follow-ups since then, I have received no response at all. It is now nearly January. Mistakes can happen, but the lack of communication and refusal to engage on a serious safety-related issue was extremely disappointing. I would have strongly preferred to resolve this directly and privately. I would not recommend having your vehicle serviced here. More
I was 1000 miles from home when my new Ranger Raptor had 4x4 issues off-roading in Arches National Park. It was stuck in 4 low and flashing all kinds of warning lights. I was able to drive it in to Perform 4x4 issues off-roading in Arches National Park. It was stuck in 4 low and flashing all kinds of warning lights. I was able to drive it in to Performance Ford of Moab and they started looking in to the problem immediately in spite of being short staffed that day. They worked on the problem the rest of that day and into the next. They discovered that Ford had not installed the hold down bracket or bolts securing the range sensor to the transfer case. There was no specific information available from Ford regarding the missing pieces so the techs had to come up with a solution on their own without the proper hardware being available. Their “temporary” fix has worked flawlessly for the 4000 miles we put on the truck to continue our journey and to return home to Alberta. A very sincere thanks to the Tech, Logan Randall and the 2 fellows assisting him and the Service advisor Levi Chadd. You guys have done your dealership, your profession, and your community proud.
