Sales and Service - a perfect balance. We recently (14AUG14) had a brake issue with our second vehicle which clearly demonstrated our need for a third vehicle in our growing family of drive We recently (14AUG14) had a brake issue with our second vehicle which clearly demonstrated our need for a third vehicle in our growing family of drivers. We'd had an ongoing dialogue with RAY HAYES about getting into a Durango or Journey. My wife opted for a new Jeep Cherokee Trail Hawk Edition and before our car that had come in for service was complete, we'd bought the Jeep (15AUG14)! Now we are back up and runnin' with our three Chrysler fleet, Pacifica, Dakota and Jeep! Ray was great getting us dialed in, working with our disrupted schedule, and getting us tied in with Bill who was also excellent, coaching us through extended warranty decisions. We'd also be off base if we didn't mention Ernie Lucero who helped expose us to the Jeep Trail Hawk option while we were still in the decision phase of this process. We've used Perkins for years for our maintenance service and have always loved Ken and the Team over on that side of the 'shop.' Now we have a great new set of trusted agents on the sales side and as loyalty is 'big' with our family, we'll probably stick with Perkins forever. New car purchase My over all experience was fairly good. Lawrence Porter was the sales associate that we worked with. He was very accommodating and researched all our questions. Lawrence is not pushy and doesn't not try to get you to commit to a deal right now. He does play any games or use old school sales tactics. Honest and straight forward. By far one of the best sales associates I have ever dealt with. Only complaint I have about Perkins is overall price. I believe we walked out with a fair deal, but I believe there was more that could have been given to us. I might be wrong but the sales manager plays hardball when you start negotiating. He claimed that the dealer was only making $600 on my sales. If you go to Perkins, see Lawrence Porter. He will take care of you. More
