In some cases, I was told, they would use Autozone but considered their parts inferior. I looked at the alternator online to check availability in the area and noticed the price was 250.00 and gave my OK to use the inferior part; in came with a limited lifetime warranty so it should last a while. Well, even though I got an admitted inferior part, I was charged a premium price of 390.00!! In talking with Barry, the parts manager, he told me they charged retail. I reminded him the part came from Autozone, was inferior, and I was charged 140.00 more. I was told a 35-40% mark up was normal charge. Hello, the amount was over 50% mark-up. Very disappointed. More
