This dealer met all my expectations of what good customer service should resemble. I was very fortunate to have met such nice people who truly cared about me and what I needed. I have serviced my vehicle here five times, not once experiencing a wholly satisfactory visit. The only reason I chose to service here more than once is because of the proximity of the dealership to my experiencing a wholly satisfactory visit. The only reason I chose to service here more than once is because of the proximity of the dealership to my home and my newness to the area. I've found the staff who work inside the service center to be lazy, rude, offensive, and apathetic to customer concerns. I have yet to receive a friendly greeting after walking through their doors. I always have to wait for someone to acknowledge me, even when I'm standing right in front of someone's desk, which once was for more than a whole minute before the person even looked up in my direction. My worst experiences have been interacting, or attempting to interact, with Mark Rufu. He has an arrogance about him that is condescending. He is not outright rude, however, he wholly lacks enthusiasm, care, and grace in handling customer concerns. I once had to leave the dealership during a routine oil change. It was an emergency, and I asked for his assistance in being able to perhaps loan a vehicle or secure another route for transportation to which he replied, "Sorry. We don't do loaners." When I emphasized the emergency of the situation to him again he said, "I don't know what to tell you." In addition to poor customer service, I feel like this dealership tries to take advantage of me every single time I've been in for service. There hasn't been one time that a service person, usually Mark, hasn't come back to me while I sit in their dirty, smelly, boring waiting area to tell me that "something else" needs to be fixed or replaced or whatever on my vehicle, and my vehicle is a 2008 with a perfect service record. As far as wait times, this place is the worst. I have never had an oil change here that they were able to finish in less than an hour. When I had my brakes replaced I waited more than four hours; the first two of which I waited before being told that it was "probably going to take a few more hours." And don't ever think you can make a last-minute oil change appointment without getting grief from the service person working at the time when you pull in just before close. The receptionist over the phone is super friendly every time, assuring you that even though it's last-minute, they can certainly accommodate. Yeah right. I go to school and work late, and it's difficult for me to get in early when I finish. I've been given dirty looks and I've even been scolded for coming in so close to closing time. Way to make customers feel valuable, especially from the part of the business that keeps the dealership ALIVE..! As such, it is with immense relief that I make the search now for a new dealership for my Ford. You can be sure that I will not be servicing or visiting this dealership ever again. More
It was a very pleasant experience, no high pressure to purchse, but very informative about product and services available without the high pressure to by. Everyone I had to deal with in the service & parts department were very nice, seem to know their job position quite well. The manager of Plantation Ford should feel secure that he has to me the best department were very nice, seem to know their job position quite well. Jeff Weinstein the salesman at Plantation Ford was misleading and deceitful and told me my car had the features I had asked for when it did not. He kept giving me the run around and I came into the de misleading and deceitful and told me my car had the features I had asked for when it did not. this was the best car buying experience in the eight cars that i have purchased. Thanks to the whole team there, but especially Rick Olsen. Liked him from the start of this 3 month process. Wow, how refreshing to deal with an intelligent, well spoken and patient car salesman. I went to two other dealerships and got frustrated with being hassled and not having my questions answered. I live in Miami Beach but I called every Ford dealership South of Delray Beach until I was lucky enough to speak to Rick Olesen at Plantation Ford. I asked about the 2011 Ford Fiesta (not available yet) and he took his time to answer everything plus he told me lots of information I didn't know about the Microsoft Sync system. He promised he would teach me everything about this complicated, advanced system. He was very efficient, he called me Monday with the information about what models were due to come in (not the exact one I wanted). So, we discussed that I wanted the SES Hatchback in Lime Squeeze Green with the 301A package (Intelligent Access push button start). My husband and I drove an hour to meet Rick, he greeted us at the door and had a surprise... he pulled a few strings and ordered my dream car! It is due to arrive in two weeks, a lot faster than the 8 weeks it would have normally taken. We were happy to sign the purchase papers and leave a deposit. We didn't even have to haggle with him, he gave us an honest price with a great discount. I highly recommend this family run Plantation Ford dealership and consider Rick Olesen the best car salesman I have ever had the pleasure of buying from. More
