Pohanka's service was excellent as always. I do have one issue. When I came in for the 5k service I asked that like on my old Lexus. Lowering the windows with the key remote would not open the sun roof. I had read that this could be done in the manual. The service tech at the time showed me that it was not part of the standard options. Not having the book with me I let it go.

When I came back for this 10k service, I had the book with the information for the mechanic. The service writer wrote it down and said he would call me. I got a call from the service writer that it could be done for $65.00. I asked about the one time custom setup. The service writer said that it was only available on the 5k service. Furthermore at that time I had the option of either the service or the one time custom setup. Since I chose the service appointment I was out of luck.

Maybe there is a reason why Lexis is losing ground to its competitors?

I was torn between getting a Lexus and a Bmw. I went to the Pohanka Lexus dealership in Chantilly and the guy that helped me was awesome. I believe his name was Albert(my husband kept his business card. All I cared about was the car!!!) He took his time and explained the car and it's performance to us into details. You can tell he is very passionate about cars!!!. We still went to a nearby Bmw dealer but we left within 10mins of being there because of the way they received us!!! My husband was like " if they are treating like this before we give them our money, I can imagine how they will treat us afterwards" We called Albert and made our way back to the Lexus dealership and got our Lexus. Very pleased and impressed. Awesome customer service!

Today I picked up my new 2013 Lexus RX450h. It is my eighth automobile purchase from Pohanka Lexus in the past 20 years and my second RX Hybrid. Mickey Whitehead is the senior sales person who worked with me for most of the process. I have known Mickey for 17 years and he is truly a professional salesman. But on this sale he brought in Joon Lee, a young apprentice salesman, to assist during the process since it was a 3 month long process of notifications and expectations. Joon and Mickey kept me well informed of all milestone dates such as build date; shipping date from Japan; port arrival date in the U.S., and expected dealer delivery date. I did a special factory order in mid-February, as I wanted specific features and options that were not the common ones that most cars come with. For example I wanted the Luxury package with the blind spot monitor. This package gave me upgraded semi-analine leather, a heated steering wheel, LED headlights, and a host of other luxury options. I also wanted the Mark Levinson sound system, which is rarely ordered. I don't know why that is true but if one appreciates fine music this system has 15 speakers, lots of amplification and it sounds truly wonderful. The car finally arrived in 3 months from date of order. I also found out that Pohanka has a new position who works with the sales team called a Technology Specialist. Marilyn Grabman is that person at Pohanka Lexus and was hired to perform this role and she does it very well. She works with the customer once the vehicle arrives and provides in-depth training on all the features and how to best utilize them. As these cars get more technical features built into them it is an important team member to have involved in the delivery process. She sits with the customer in the new vehicle and completely covers every little nuance that the vehicle has in the way of technology and how to properly use it. Pohanka Lexus has made the auto buying and delivery process very enjoyable and does it without a hiccup. I can't say enough about how professional and customer service focused these folks are. I highly recommend Pohanka if you're looking for a new Lexus. You will not be disappointed.

It says something special about a Lexus dealership when the only Service Director has been Doug Moultrie and the only Parts Mgr has been Kevin Phillips since it was built. Both of them have gone the extra mile for me over the past 21 years that I have been a customer. I worked with Mickey Whitehead and Abtin Viziri to special order a new Lexus RX hybrid in mid-Feb and expect delivery within the next couple of weeks. I received a great deal on the RX and will proudly have it maintained by Doug and his team at Pohanka Lexus.

In 2007 we purchased an RX 400 h from Peter L for my wife. It was a great deal and remains an outstanding car and dealership.

Recently I was looking for a new car for myself. I got quotes for a Chevy Volt and Toyota Prius. This would have been my 4th Prius and 7th car from the same Toyota dealer/ salesman. Neither deal really excited me so we went to see Peter at Pohanka just to find out what he could do. I have never seen myself in a Lexus. After a lot of hard but friendly work with Peter I am now the proud owner of an ES 300 h.

Peter was totally committed to meeting and exceeding our needs in all aspects of the deal. He met or beat both the Chevy and Toyota quotes. He was a consummate professional in every aspect, vehicle price, trade in,product knowledge and new car prep. He truly made us feel he was interested in usvas long term customers and has in fact continued to follow up months after the sale. While I have had a long term relationship with Toyota prior to this, I am now committed to having Peter and Pohanka as my sole " go to" dealer.

The sales representative (Qui) was very professional and patient in addressing all my questions. No pressure, took the time to find a vehicle exact to my specifications, and a reasonable price for the new vehicle was quoted up front. Was able to negotiate down a bit and agree on a price to my satisfaction. The trade-in value offered for my former vehicle was reasonable as well.

Overall, the experience met or exceeded expectations. I left satisfied with the service and quality of the sales rep, the dealership and the vehicle I got.

Do not waste your time with this dealer. We spoke to Peter L the night before our 3 and a half hour drive to confirm the car we wanted was still available. He said that it was and he would be glad to meet us when we got there the next day. Upon arrival we find out immediately that the car we have driven 3 and a half hours for has had a deposit on it for the past 2 days and was unavailable. needless to say we were FURIOUS do not waste your time with this joke of a business.

This deal at Pohankus Lexus was a painless transaction, unlike some of my past new car purchases within the same family of cars.

Mickey Whitehead was knowledgable, friendly, and an overall great guy. Pohanka Lexus was the only dealer with more than one certified 2012 RX 450h to look at (5 available) and all of their vehicles were extremely low miles (the one we purchased had <9200 miles) with aggressive pricing. Every other dealer within 500 miles of our home in upstate SC had RX 450h's with almost 10k more miles and were asking between $1k and $2k more.

Trade in value was a little less than what I would have liked (compared to MMR) but with 150k miles on my Sienna XLE Limited the small variation wasn't worth the hassle fighting over or trying to sell it myself.

My wife and I drove almost 900 miles total (440 miles each way) to pick this vehicle up and we were concerned about what the pressure would be like when it came time to make the deal based on their not having seen our trade. We both were working sight unseen over the internet and phones. We worried for nothing! You couldn't have asked for a better experience.

When we arrived at 10:00 AM (Mickey told us not to hurry due to heavy DC traffic), the car was cleaned and waiting for us in the pickup lane. We inspected the vehicle, took a test drive on a nice loop that gave a little of every kind of driving, and returned to finish paperwork. Everything was fully ready when we got there and it took very little effort on our part. A little over an hour later we were on our way back home.

The vehicle was just as promised and I don't regret the 14 hours of driving to put this vehicle in my garage. I just wish they were closer to home!!
