My 2024 Corvette ZO6 got caught in the rain July 13th, when I attempted to bring it out on the 15th. The car wouldn’t not move in drive or reverse. After a couple time I gave more gas with the risk of hit when I attempted to bring it out on the 15th. The car wouldn’t not move in drive or reverse. After a couple time I gave more gas with the risk of hitting the side of the garage. Once got I out of the garage. I attempted to drive it but every time I hit the brakes you could hear a clicking sound especially on the front right.side so I took it back home. I then stopped by the dealership to see what I should do, I was advised by the service writer Fierro to have it towed to the dealership. Now to his credit he was very helpful in assisting me with getting my vehicle towed from my home to the dealership. I got my vehicle back on the 16th of July, now I’m no mechanic by a long shot but, the tech note stated “corrosion more commonly appears after a vehicle sits in high humidity !” REALLY! The car sat from Sunday mid-afternoon after getting caught in the rain till mid morning Tuesday. Now if that’s sitting.I have really, really have purchased the wrong vehicle. The tech note stated he did some hard braking 7 times and said it got better and to his credit the clicking noise was noticeable quieter, but not gone completely. It now the 22 of July and I’ve completed multiple more hard braking scenarios and the rotors still look like trash. Still confused how this happened from driving in the rain only once! More
