We traveled to the area from Maine for Christmas with family. It was quite cold - single diigits or low teens in the morning, Remote start wouldn;t work and I got a low coolant message when I started i family. I didn't have an appointment so we had to wait a little, but they checked it out and topped off the coolant at no charge, Everyone was friendly and helpful, AND they have excellent coffee and snacks. They save me a lot of anxiety, and I am very grateful for the service. Nice to run into a dealer that has old-style values and treats even new (and not lucrative) customers so well, Thank you More

Ok so I brought car in for a few recalls,got there at 8:30 and waited for the call, after 3 hrs she said it would cost 169dollars to diagnose,why the light comes on,I asked if it is under warranty she s 8:30 and waited for the call, after 3 hrs she said it would cost 169dollars to diagnose,why the light comes on,I asked if it is under warranty she said oh,yes it is .so waited another 1 1/2 the car never moved they from the spot it was in ,so we asked for keys and left.Dont! Wast your time with this place! More
Since Romeo took over and Vanessa left the service department I am refusing to return. First I have to say that Jolene has no business being a service advisor and has clue about fluid capacities of th department I am refusing to return. I got into an argument because she insisted that my car took 6 quarts of oil when my Tdi only takes 4.5! Then I went in for warranty work for an oil leak. It took them four visits over a 6 month period to actually fix it!!! Then a few months ago I went in for suspension warranty work which was a two trip repair because they replaced the front springs but the issue was actually the strut, plus they broke a ball joint to boot. The last straw came last month when my AC wasn't blowing as cold as it use to. Service advisor said it might be an actuator but they wanted to tear into the dash to check the heat box, an 8 to 10 hour job. I declined went to another VW dealer across the river who found the real problem and only had to top off the freon. Ever since Romeo took over, the service department has either become incompetent because everyone that worked under Kingston VW left or is xxxx bent on racking up the bill for services you don't need, either way, I will never set foot at a Romeo owned dealer again!!!!! More

Marquee, was very nice, but that sure didn't make up for the overall terrible experience here. DO NOT buy a car here! More
I am doing this in part to correct the record (Even though I did already) and to praise my experience overall and give credit to new people than I have worked with. I had a very smooth buying experience with Jim Parkhurst and really overall with everyone I dealt with. I had a pretty major hiccup with service in the beginning, but it was later explained to me that they didn't have many diesels anymore and it seems the same tech always works on my car. Also, these cars sat for a LONG time. However, once I had made it clear I wasn't happy they promptly corrected the issue. There has been a marked improvement in my service experience since then, having completed some large warranty repairs quite well and quick. I had went to check on my car before work and even though the shuttle driver wasn't in Marquis Brunson the service manager was still willing to get me a ride to work somehow. If you want to have your car serviced at VW of Kingston, you have to use Vanessa Taylor as your service writer. She's personable, witty and knowledgeable.....she is truly the best service writer I have dealt with since getting my drivers license when I was 18. I think you will have a good service experience here. More
My wife and I have been using Kingston Volkswagen for years to service our Jetta mostly because of its proximity to our upstate house. We have never been overly impressed. We will no longer use this deal years to service our Jetta mostly because of its proximity to our upstate house. We have never been overly impressed. We will no longer use this dealership not because of cost but because they missed key problems in our 90000 mile service check. Bad rear shocks were overlooked also a bent wheel rim. Hillary , my service advisor, goes up and beyond to solve my issues fast , every time I'm going . Last time I had also a long and helpful talk with the mechanic who serviced my car,(sorry I don't remember his name), very knowledgeable and experienced. Keep it up guys. More
