SERVICE RIP OFF!!!! Called in to check the labor for a headlight bulb replacement. Spoke with the service department a gentleman told me bring the car it would be free of Called in to check the labor for a headlight bulb replacement. Spoke with the service department a gentleman told me bring the car it would be free of charge, if I provided the bulb. Once I arrived they accused me of making the story up, so a lady stepped in and helped me told me don't worry about and even crossed out the price on the service slip. Once the tech was finished I was charged $102.60 when I asked for the lady who assisted me I was told she was gone for the day. The manager was contacted via phone which I could hear him yelling and cursing I was demanded by another sale guy Adam to pay $60 or they wouldn't release my vehicle. I explained the situation and even asked the tech who helped me when I arrived and serviced my car did he hear anyone discuss a estimate (price) with me, he said NO. But I was still demanded to pay before I could get my keys! The tech Adam accused me of LYING ABOUT THE WHOLE SITUATION! I WAS SO OFFENDED WHEN I ASKED TO SPEAK TO ANOTHER MANAGER I WAS TOLD NO MANAGER WAS ON DUTY! THESE PEOPLE WERE VERY RUDE IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT . HELD MY KEYS UNTIL I PAID $60 FOR INSTALLATION OF ONE HEADLIGHT BULB .I WAS ONLY THERE FOR 30 minutes .HOW CAN YOU CHARGE $102.60 FOR 30MINUTES FOR A HEADLIGHT BULB REPLACEMENT!!!!!!!!!! I WAS RIPPED OFF AND ACCUSED OF BEING A LIER!! More
I've made a previous review about Thomas Toyota about 4 years ago. Aside from my wife I don't think I've had a longer relationship than I have with Thomas Toyota, certainly NOT a car dealership. Becaus 4 years ago. Aside from my wife I don't think I've had a longer relationship than I have with Thomas Toyota, certainly NOT a car dealership. Because of my long lasting relationship I feel I should provide an updated review. I purchased a used vehicle from them about 4 years ago. The sales experience was the most straightforward experience I've ever had. They tried the squares on me, but I saw right past it. I presented my offer and they beat it, THEY BEAT *MY* OFFER o.0 Granted it was few hundred bucks or so, but really? Has a dealer really ever undercut, themselves?!? I didn't mention this in my original review, but it's stood out in my mind and I've used the story to recommend these guys. They have absolutely always done what was right. Without hesitation and without question. The third brake light was out and we didn't notice until they were switching the plates. They fixed it. Even after I had already signed the "AS-IS" paperwork. As I mentioned in my other review they sold the truck with a blown front differential that none of us had noticed until I was finally able to try the 4WD later on after the sale as conditions permitted. They made this right as well. It had been about 18 months since my last visit to their service department and I had to get the truck in because the 4WD was out. When I called to let them know I was coming, get their opinion on the issue and confirm what I needed to bring and setup a rental car I did not have a pleasant experience. I was told they're too busy, I can't drop it off til the following day, they have rental cars, then they didn't have rentals. I was not happy. This added to the frustrations and anxiety of being without my truck which I desperately need for work and not to mention the fact it was broken! At that point I was never going to deal with this place again, I called up warranty forever and demanded authorization to take my vehicle somewhere else. That of course went over like a lead balloon with the warranty company and they were surprised at the situation. I was too, but things change and businesses find new people and that's what I figured had happened. They promised to send a message to the dealer for me and assured me it would get worked out. A few days later John called me. How do I explain our encounter without selling this guy short? I'll try, but I don't think I can. How do you know the difference between someone caring about your problem and someone "caring" about your problem? You know what I am trying to say. The type of people that all they'll do is apologize, but not actually do anything to solve the problem. To me, when he called he couldn't have cared less about my truck at that moment. He called to talk to me. He called to find out what happened and why I was not happy. I explained everything and he didn't give me and excuse. He gave me the reason and told me that he would fix it. I'm a service guy too and that's exactly what I do. I treat my customers how I want to be treated and it's evident John does this as well. Vic, thanks for dealing with part company. Thanks for keeping me informed. Thanks for our chat this afternoon. These guys are the real deal. They're too busy to fabricate excuses which is good and rare. Too often I'm in a situation where I'm left scratching my head wondering where the common sense went, but it's refreshing to see it's abundant here. Most people are hungry for work and they'll say anything and everything to get you in the door so they'll tell you what they think you want to hear even if it's less than the truth. Not these guys. They went above and beyond (and then some) trying to make happy. I am truly appreciative of John, Vic and the entire service department at Thomas Toyota. THANK YOU! More

I know this will not get posted, but the toyota care 20K oil changes in my opinion is just not what it should be, on November my car will be 2 years old since I purchased it, during that time I accumulated oil changes in my opinion is just not what it should be, on November my car will be 2 years old since I purchased it, during that time I accumulated 18K miles, the first oil change was done at 5K and I practically had to beg to get it done because the service clerck insisted that it only gets done at 10K intervals, so this meant I only get 2 oil changes in 2 years ... I don't agree, if I get 4 oil changes or 20K in 24 months, then I should get all 4 oil changes in 5K intervals.... screw your service deparment, I will never purchase a car from your stingy dealership. I was there on 9/28.2013 was the 2nd in line early morning and had a red corolla... More

The recall work was done very quickly and the brakes checked out fine. I purchased a 2012 Used Toyota Camry from Thomas Toyota at the end of March 2013. I brought my car in for service to address some issues I had been promised would be handled when i purchased it. (The ca at the end of March 2013. I brought my car in for service to address some issues I had been promised would be handled when i purchased it. (The car had a scratch on the hood and they had to order a shift knob for the vehicle that was broken) The service staff was very accomodating and extremely friendly. Upon my arrival I was greeted by Jermaine Holloway the customer relations manager who helped set up an appointment with me the day I took delivery. I was offered a loaner vehicle while my car was in for repairs and when I picked my car up they had washed it and filled it with gas for me. (I purchased a used vehicle not a new car) I have never had such a wonderful experience in all my years of buying cars. I would like to personally commend the entire service staff at Thomas Toyota for their exemplary customer relations practices. I have already referred a neighbor to their dealership as well as a co-worker. If you seek a good deal and service after the sale then take my advice and give Thomas Toyota a try. More

Called and got the answering service; scheduled to drop the vehicle on a Friday night so they could service on Saturday at their leisure. Answer service told me to drop it at the Nissan store next door. I repeated his request twice because it didn't make any sense to me. But... went any way to drop at Nissan and it turned into a real head scratcher with me and the Sales Manager. They walked me over to Toyota to straighten things out. Decided we could wait a few 1k miles to do my service, so I said I would call back to reschedule. Instead of calling I decided to stop by last Friday. Walked in service, stepped into a booth, no one said hello after walking past me several times, then finally they all went out in the shop area. I stood there thinking someone would come back to help me. NOTHING. Got in my vehicle and drove around the back side of the building where I spotted the lady who walked past me in the service drive (and ignored me) back there smoking a cigarette..... I just made my service appointment with Orland Toyota in Tinley Park. Spoke WITH someone in Service and they are happy I'm coming. More
