My Review of Royal Gate Dodge Chrysler Jeep Of Columbia:
I have been to this dealer at least four times to try to purchase a vehicle. My credit is not perfect and I am upside down in a newer trade vehicle. While the salesmen are nice while you are in the dealership, once you are gone....you never hear from them again....ever. You know guys, a call to say "we tried but couldn't get anything done for you" would be better than nothing at all.The last time I tried to trade there I called the manager to tell him that again I got no follow up. I left him a message. Guess what, I got no follow up from him either. I have had such horrible customer service from both the Columbia and St. Louis area Royal Gate that I tried to contact the General Manager. He would not return my call, so I tried to contact the owner....again....he will not return calls. And the customer service in sales is not the only thing that is bad. My husband owns a 2010 challenger that we have serviced at the Columbia store. He had a hunch that when he was paying to get his tires rotated, they weren't being rotated. He marked a rim the last time he took his car in for service. Guess what....they didn't rotate the tires. The service manager was visibly upset for this, never the less, it should not have happened.
A customer may not be in a position to buy a 50,000 dollar vehicle at all times in their life, but I have purchased several in the last 10 years. Dealerships should not shoo away the customers with shallow pockets. You never know when they will come in a make a big purchase because you treated them right the first time.
Shame on all of you. Respect your customers. No wonder you ratings are so low on every customer review site.

I would definitely recommend this dealership to someone else. The price was very good. I walked in wanted $1000 less than what we paid, but let's face it doesn't everyone want a car for less money. It was a very easy purchase. Unfortunately the car I wanted wasn't on the dealer's lot, but Ralph found it for me at another dealership. We got the deal completed quickly. I really love the features of the new car as well.

My Review of Royal Gate Dodge Chrysler Jeep Of Columbia:
This was without a doubt the best experience my wife and I have ever had at a car dealership. We were looking for a newer van to replace our 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan because it was long out of warranty and the recent repairs were really hurting the pocket book. Fortunately, it was paid off. We went through USAA to get better pricing since they work with the dealership and we got a big chunk of change taken off the MSRP right away. The salesman, Tom Ellis, didn't even try to haggle us. He looked at the paperwork from USAA and said "Ok, that's the price you'll get." We knew what we wanted for our trade beforehand and we didn't want to back down from it because we believed it was fair. They came back just $500 shy of where we wanted to be so we asked for an extra $200 and they said no problem. They also gave us free oil changes (4 per year) for the life of the vehicle. We felt we got an excellent deal and don't feel slighted at all.
Our salesman, Tom Ellis, was truly a pleasure to work with. He made us very comfortable, was very honest, and didn't try to pull the wool over our eyes like some salesman tend to do. He made everything easy for us. In fact, the whole process from start to finish (not including the test drive) probably took around 3 hours. The wife and I knew what we wanted before ever walking in because we had done our research and knew what they had and Tom made the process smooth as silk. I've worked with many car dealerships in the past, but this has been the best experience hands down.

From the time I contacted this dealership until the time I went in to actually buy the truck the salesman was knowledgeable and professional. He also threw in free oil changes for life and knocked off another 600 dollars. I had a good experience for a change and have even referred 2 friends that were looking for new cars. This place gets 5 stars in my book!

My Review of Royal Gate Dodge Chrysler Jeep Of Columbia:
Salesman flat out lied about specs on the vehicle (specifically MPG) and lied about free oil changes for the life of the vehicle as long as I owned it. Apparently when I called to schedule my first free oil change they never heard of any program like that and when I contacted the salesman he denied ever mentioning anything like that.
Few items on the vehicle on delivery needed remedied. I scheduled the appointment for 3 things to be fixed. Only 1 was fixed and the vehicle was filthy when I went to pick it up.
On another occasion the service worker just up and left for the day while supposedly looking for someone to help me get checked in. Another worker asked me about 15 minutes later if I was being helped and I said I was by X and he informed me they left for the day.

If you buy a Jeep with the hard top already included it will only cost you several hundred dollars. Hard tops bought through the parts department of a Jeep dealer are more than 2000 dollars. You openly stated that you were told you could not get an after-the-fact hard top for the same price and you still went ahead and bought the Jeep anyway. I fail to see how you were "screwed" when you knew exactly what the deal was when you signed the papers.

I have no clue what you're referring to with your comments regarding a Jeep purchase. I did not purchase a Jeep when I entered my comment dated 3/17. I stand by my experience and have already turned at least two customers away from this dealership and its sneaky practices. Apparently I'm not the only one who feels screwed, am I?
