The service representative I dealt with was not very good at his job. He said the part I needed was no longer made and they could only find one used one, with no guarantee or a warranty. He added, if I could find one and bring it to them, they would install same. I searched online and found many businesses selling the part, from new, to reconditioned, to used. I also found pages of this exact part on eBay for varied prices, again from new, to reconditioned, to used. I found one that had been reconditioned with a lifetime warranty and had same shipped to the dealership. Additionally, my car came with a lifetime warranty on the drive train, which the service representative said he could not find when he checked with Dodge. Based on why I had brought my car to Dodge for repairs this time, there was initially a possibility it could have been a serious engine issue. I knew I had the warranty and phoned Dodge, and within 2 minutes learned I did have one, but it was inactive, as they had no record of me having the needed service checks on the car, despite the fact I did have the needed service checks and recalls taken care at Gulf Dodge/Chrylser. The service representative than told me, that when Sandy Sansing purchased the building and business, from Gulf Dodge/Chrysler, they left no records whatsoever of any sales or service on any vehicle. He then added, there is no way to get them. After I picked up my car, I learned from the receptionist in the lobby, she had a email address to send in a request for my sales and service records. I made my request to get my vehicle's records. I will never buy vehicle from this dealership, or have my car serviced there again. More
Overall the experience was good but they could use a little work in the customer service area. Both batteries in my Jeep Cherokee were totally drained and the dealership helped with info to get my car towed and fixed the issue in a timely manner.
