Lynne, myself and Bidwell GDB22 (our career change yellow lab) stopped in at Santa Cruz Subaru to check their pre-owned inventory of Forester/Outbacks Touring models. We were graciously greeted by Luke Smit lab) stopped in at Santa Cruz Subaru to check their pre-owned inventory of Forester/Outbacks Touring models. We were graciously greeted by Luke Smith-Gates. We had questions about specs for each model and Luke told us what we needed to make a more informed choice of car. We particularly liked that we DID NOT feel pushed in anyway to one vehicle or the other. We were given solid information that let us make an informed choice. Well, Luke showed us a VERY nice 2022 Outback white/java and then we started to focus. I am 6'4" so I really enjoy not having to bend in half to get behind the wheel. The feel was GREAT! We went on a test drive and then returned to discuss further. We told Luke we would like to leave, have some lunch and discuss what he gave us. Luke introduced us to Ricardo Gutierrez, Sales Manager. We returned after lunch and completed the transaction to purchase the Outback. We felt NO push to buy, whatsoever, and enjoyed the entire transaction from start to finish. Cindy was great when I called to make appt, dropped off the car and when she called to communicate what they had found. She was knowledgeable and wonderful to work with! My experience changed when I came to pick up the car. 3 people sitting around, one was messing with cell phone. Had to wait about 15-20minutes for the person at the counter (I think his name was Thomas) to finish with other customers. He seemed to be the only one working that day (it was a Saturday). Then once he was done talking with me, someone took the car to wash. He said he did it by hand because they couldn’t put it through the auto wash. It came back wet. I asked him for a towel so I could dry it off. He brought a small towel over and quickly wiped a few areas and said “that’s the best I can do”. I explained about water spots and he didn’t seem to care, barely putting in any effort- just kept saying “that’s the best I can do”. I had just washed it the day before and got rid of all water spots. I wish he wouldn’t have even bothered with washing it because I ended up having to rewash at home to get rid of the water spots. What I expected to take 10-15 minutes, ended up taking about 45 minutes to pick up my car. More

I was shopping for a certified used Crosstrek Wilderness and live in Southern California.
