While it was frustrating that the sales time took 3.5hrs vs. their promise of an hour and the sales guy kept making up answers to questions he didn't know answers to, the service department is where schomp really fails. (you know, the folks you have to deal with for the life of your car) The car was delivered at night, with a trim defect, which they agreed to fix. However, during the fix, they scratched the brand new matte finish and somehow the dash. When called back to ask them to repair the paint scratch issue, suddenly all return service calls stopped. Now I need to go to other Hyundai dealerships for service as schomp cannot be trusted. In addition to the larger concern above, they mis-mounted the license plate frame, threw boxes in back (vs. installing items paid for, causing interior plastic damage via rubbing), provided a broken detailing kit, and scuffed the door sill. In short, they delivered a brand new car, damaged it, and then stopped returning my calls. Go with Hyundai, but avoid schomp. More

Atilla’s warm and kind disposition, in addition to his exceptional expertise and knowledge of Hyundai vehicles, made our experience meaningful and successful. Also worth mentioning is that Attila made sure we had not spoken to anyone else beforehand because he didn’t want to steal someone else’s business. He gained my respect for that and it happened within the first 30 seconds of meeting him. Good for you, Schomp Aurora, for hiring and keeping people like Attila who have a genuine interest and care for their customers! I do't write a lot of reviews. I don't have any love for car sales experiences but recognize that it's, in general, a sleazy business. Mostly it was the GSM looking me in the eye and lying, not giving a xxxx about my experience, his dishonesty, or the dishonesty of his sales person. Maybe more experienced car buyers wouldn't be so shocked. I was very interested in leasing a vehicle from Schomp Hyundai and inquired about a specific VIN online. Within minutes I had an email saying that the vehicle was available for a test drive. He sent me a "video" of the car. I called the sales person about a specific incentive program Hyundai is running, he said that they would honor it. Then he started being dishonest about how leases work, directly contradicting the language in the HMF lease agreement. Absolutely insisted that he's been doing this for four years and he knows. He offered to have "his manager" call me to assure me that the HMF agreement isn't accurate. I figured I got some new guy so I went in person the next day. I am told, first, that they haven't had any of the trim I was seeking for quite some time. I was able to provide a VIN and stock number. Nope, our web site says we have it but we don't. I expressed disbelief. It took a couple of conferences with the GSM to "make sure" that this car and 3 others they supposedly have in stock are zombie cars that no one can locate, except Hyundai who says they took delivery over 150 days ago. I asked to provide feedback on my experience to the GSM. After an extensive wait, he showed up. Completely full of it. He then claimed that they had one in yesterday but maybe it sold. Two others I'd spoken with in person had claimed they hadn't had any for a while. He didn't seem bothered in any way, shape, or form that the previous evening his sales person said the VIN I inquired about was on the lot ready for me to test drive when, supposedly, they hadn't any of this trim for some time. When I brought up the xx the same sales person had given me about lease terms, he started in on the same line of xx. Seems they don't want to lease to anyone looking to buy it out early, must have some financial impact on them that they don't like. Super sketchy. Different stories from literally each person I spoke with at the dealership, online and in person. Buyer beware. More

Very skeptical of “ multi-point.” Inspections, I believe they are bogus. You’ll wait half a day even with an appointment. Most disturbing I had personal property stolen from glovebox while on Schomp property overnight with no regard or explanation. Used to be a great dealer/service, something went horribly wrong. More

I've been a service client here for a number of years. The only reason I've gone back is because the location is the most convenient. I've had mixed experiences here overall. The managers in the service department are HORRIBLE. DO NOT RECOMMEND. They will waste your time, and try to upsell every little thing they think they can, even if you have a warranty. More
