I submitted an inquiry for a Kia K5 and was contacted by Selma Kia with a price I accepted. Since I had my young grandchildren with me (ages one and three), I asked if we could come in Monday to sign paperw Selma Kia with a price I accepted. They urged us to come Sunday instead, saying they needed the sale to meet their monthly quota and could apply flex cash if we came that day. I agreed on the condition that everything would be ready, as we had already settled the price and submitted all our information. We arrived before 4:30 PM, signed the initial documents, and were told we’d be in finance within 30–40 minutes. Over an hour and a half later, I checked in again. They said we were still next and offered to pay for our grandkids’ dinner. We declined and paid out of pocket while my wife took them to eat. She returned after 7 PM, and I still hadn’t been called. After more than three hours of waiting and no progress, I walked out. I lost valuable time with my grandchildren and was left feeling misled and undervalued. The next day, I went to Visalia Kia and bought the exact same car. The process took less than two hours even with a busy showroom. That’s what professionalism looks like. Almost forgot to mention I called GM Aaron on Monday morning and all he did was trying to justify that his staff was busy. If you value your time and expect a dealership to honor its word, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Selma Kia’s lack of organization and respect for customers was incredibly disappointing.
