My Review of Shelly BMW:
I have had worst experiences at this dealer. Took so many times to fix things right or not even fix it. Recently, I had my car M3 in for service; a mechanic told that my drive shaft coupler is cracked and it's very bad. I went home and checked my CPO warranty manual and found out it should be covered under CPO warranty. I called them back the next day and they said bring the car back to have it replaced. So I brought the car back and at the end of the day, they told me the drive shaft coupler is not cracked. What's the heck?
- If I have the drive shaft coupler replaced in the first visit, I would have paid for something is not broken.
- Or, it's really broken and they don't want to fix it in my second visit?

I will get a second opinion from another dealer and will make a big deal out of it if whether or not it's broken.

This is one of my bad experiences that I had with Shelly BMW.
Please don't go there. We should be deserved for a better service.

My Review of Shelly BMW:
This is a review and comments on the service quote given us today at your Shelly BMW in Buena Park.

The charges made was a BIG RIP-OFF. We were asked to pay a whoomping $603.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It all started when we were called for the routine 20 point inspection plus a complimentary car wash. We were given the
impression that that this is a free service in asmuch as we already have the 100,000 miles warranty. When we got there,
we were informed that the regular routine inspection is not included. When we asked for a change oil and agreed with the
routine inspection, I overhead the lady in the service dept. said
that the charges will be $103.00 for which I agreed. My fault is not double checking it with my husband, who is so stupid enough to hold on to the invoice quote without checking the amount. Come payment time, we were slapped with the $603.00 charges.

I think this is ridiculously priced and so very much A RIP-OFF. a MERE INSPECTION SHOULD NOT AND MUST NOT COST $400.00
!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, we have to pay because, accordingly to them, service has already been made and it was our error as well that we did not check very well the quotation given us. STILL, THE CHARGES
IS VERY HIGH.... THE ADVERTISEMENT ABOUT THE FREE MAINTENANCE FOR THE 100,000 MILES IS NOT VERY CLEAR AND NOT TRUE AT ALL !!!! NOW, I HATE MOUR BMS CAR!!!!!!

THIS IS SOMETHING THAT MY RELATIVES AND FRIENDS SHOULD KNOW. NEVER BELIEVE WHAT THEY ARE SAYING ABOUT THE " FREE MAINTAINANCE THING"!!!! BETTER YET, BUY
ANOTHER BRAND OF CAR ... LESS EXPENSIVE AND THE SAME PERFORMANCE !!!!!!!

My Review of Shelly BMW:
I stopped by in shorts and an old t-shirt and I guess the sales staff thought I looked like I couldn't afford a BMW so they ignored me. I had to look for a sales man to help me. Another older gentlemen came after me and several sales people came out to help him right away. They didn't really care if I came or went. On top of that their quote was the highest of 3 dealers I checked with. Really bad customer service. My neighbor had the same experience. I've purchase 2 BMW's in 6 months and referred 3 others to Pacific BMW who by far had the best customer services and pricing.

My Review of Shelly BMW:
I am taking Shelly BMW to small claims court. I was almost in an accident because my powersteering fluid leeked out after Shelly BMW worked on my car. Then Shelly BMW replaced my clutch, flywheel, and preasure plate. when I recieved my car, there was a loud clicking noise in the rear of the car. I brought it back Shelly BMW told me it was the differental. but they said it was ok to drive. 2 weeks later the drive shaft came loose and was damaged and also the joints were messed up. Shelly BMW broke a bolt that holds part of the exhaust on, and they did not replace it. Now I have to pay to have this fixed.

My Review of Shelly BMW:
I purchased two vehicles from this dealership and am very please with the Sales department. I cannot say enough good things about the sales process and my sales person David Fritsch.

However, I can honestly say that I will not purchase another car from this dealership due to its terrible service. My new X3 has been in twice for service due to warranty issues. I brought the car in 2-weeks after taking delivery in which they had the car for 2-weeks during which they couldn't fix everything since they were waiting for parts.

I called almost two months later inquiring about the parts (nobody had contacted me in the meantime) and was told by my service person that the part "just came in" and I should bring it down. I scheduled an appointment and dropped it off the next day. I was told that the fix should be quick since it was simply a self-adhesive moulding that needed to be replaced on the sunroof in addition to a few other warranty items. It has taken 2-days now and the vehicle is still not finished because the technician cannot figure out where the moulding goes on the sunroof. In fact I had to explain to the service person over the phone where the moulding goes. To make matters worse, the service person called me today and told me that they won't cover the rental car anymore because they only cover 1-day of rental even though it's their fault that it's taking 3 days to fix the car. I had to escalate this issue to her boss to get them to agree to pay for the rental until my vechicle is fixed.

I probably won't buy another BMW due to the reliability issues I have experienced with my X3 and Z4. I definately won't use Shelly to service any vehicle in the future. If you go to Shelly for service, buyer beware!!!!!

My Review of Shelly BMW:
The people who work at this dealership are rude and also liars. When we first started shopping for a new BMW, we went to Shelly and was completely ignored even though there were sales people milling around. Needless to say, we did not buy our car there but went to McKenna where we were treated with the best service of any dealership. This was two years ago. A few months ago, we decided to give Shelly a second chance when we decided to purchase a new M3. We spoke with Jerry who was overall very friendly, appeared to be very knowledgeable and gave us a terrific quote for a new M3. He promised to call us within the month when our M3 was scheduled to arrive and to make a deposit then. When we called him to check the status, he kept telling us he would call us back, which he never did. Actually, now that we were shopping around at the other dealerships, it turns out Jerry was lying about even having ordered us a car at all and the price quote was completely bogus. This dealership is the ugliest dealership but also has service to match!

My Review of Shelly BMW:

Took my car in for a routine 15K mile oil change. When I picked up the car, I found out that my passenger side rear view mirror stopped working eventhough the control switch is already set to passenger rear mirror. Also, I found a jelly and some bread crumbs inside my cup holder so I assume the mechanic was eating lunch inside my car. When I turned the ignition on, the AC was turned up at full blast and my radio settings have changed. At this point I was mad as hell thinking why can't those mother****ers just fix the car and not play around w/ anything else in my car. Well I complained to Shelly and they told me to schedule another appointment to have the rear view mirror fixed. So I've schedule another appointment and another waste of my time. When all this is done, I'll write about the conclusion to this frustration. So avoid this dealer for service at all cost.

My Review of Shelly BMW:
Went in to have my OEM alarm installed...install took 1.5 hours total...the car was in the "out" lane for 20 mins until i went to the cashier and demanded my damn keys...waited another 10 mins for the service advisor (Sochi) to hand me my paper work...NO one showed me how to work the damn thing when I got it...
At home, I tried using a louisville slugger on my alarmed car...NO SIREN...i PAID $600 for this and thing doesn't even ring...
I call parts department...and the guy says the part is $130...
so they charged me $470 for 1.5 hours of labor (a little less)...
and also I think Shelly has a problem of taking customer's cars out for a test drive...I dont understand why my car was road-tested for an alarm install...

I REALLY regret buying my $50k Bimmer at Shelly...
they offered no loaner car service (although i was promised it)

My Review of Shelly BMW:
BEWARE OF SHELLY IF YOU HAVE A ///M CAR!!!!!I bought my 01 S54 M Roadster from SHELLY, the guy we bought the car from was a family friend and after he left SHELLY ive had nothing but bad service from here. I know more about issues with my car then the people there, recently i took my car in for an oil service, and when i go to pick the car up they had put on about 10-15 miles on her. I look at my gas gauge and well over 1/4 tank of gas is missing. I have reason to believe that a SHELLY BMW tech/driver etc. took my car out for a spin and abused the hell out of it. Wasting a 1/4 of gas in 10-15 miles is possible but only under extreme throttle and keeping it in the higher rpm range. When I complained to SHELLY all i got was "oh were sorry, but the car had to be test driven after the service" I replied "yes, test driven, but not abused to hell." basically i got nothing, they did nothing, but tell me to FUK OFF. I would think they would be more professional then that. I also have several Mercedes and this kind of incident never happened at MB. We have a CLK55 AMG and no apparent problems of MB guys trashing my vehicle. I'm the one who paid $50K for my car, and $1k for my SO3's. certainly I should be the only one allowed to drive her hard. I also assume that the person who had the consideration to trash my car didnt wait for my engine to be at operating temperature before they had raped my baby. We buy cars very often. SHELLY BMW has lost a customer, because I will never go back again. BTW. Just serveral months ago, SAVAGE BMW totaled a customers S54 E46 M3 on a so called test drive. BE AWARE

My Review of Shelly BMW:
When I was shopping around and could not even find a M3 with the color I like, I called several dealer asking about placing an order. Every one asked for MSRP + $2000 ~ $3000, Shelly was the first one which agreed to let me place an order for MSRP with no markup. The saleman asked me to go over to sign the paperwork, I was excited that I fianlly find a good deal and I went over.

After almost everything was settled down, he asked for MSRP + $2000 and I was mad because that was not what he agreed with me earlier.

He explained that was because this car is highly demanded, $2000 is a reasonable markup for it, since I already researched with many other dealers, I was kind of convinced by that. Then he said he can sell this car to me for MSRP, but I have to agree to pay $9.99 APR in my financing plan, I did some calculation and figured out that it will cost me more in total, so I paid the deposit to order the car at the price MSRP+$2000, with a normal APR..

About 1 week later I found other three dealers which are willing to let me place order for MSRP, I was afraid the same game happened however I still visited one, everything turned out as agreed on the phone and I paid another deposit and ordered exactly the same car again, called Shelly and canceled the order, it took them 7 weeks to return the deposit to me .

My Review of Shelly BMW:
i had my 15k oil change done less than a month ago, today is 6/6/03. I just installed my exhaust yesterday and notice that Shelly BMW didn't replace the cover that's under the oil plug. I haven't had one good experience with Shelly BMW out of the 4 times I have been there. I thought they could at least get a simple oil change right. If I didn't have my car up on a lift to change out my exhaust, I wouldn't have known the peice was missing.

My Review of Shelly BMW:
Sales: Bought car from them. Got a decent price. Not very arrogant like I expected. Experience was alright. Real friendly at first, but once I paid, was kinda rushed. Salesperson did an ok job going through the interior features but forgot my extra keys. I had to come back for them. I think it's cuz I look like I'm still in high school. Oh, and found a cracked turn signal lens when I got home. Was told they'd replace it and they did.

Service: Mom took car in for me later to get keys and have turn signal replaced, car programmed, and license plate frame put in. No loaner, but shuttle service offered. Wanted special features put in but Service Writer had no idea what I was talking about. She said Tech said it couldn't be done when it's been confirmed on several boards that it can (the blinking lights w/out remote). She told me I'd get a call back the next day from the Tech to go over what I wanted in person. Never got the call back. Haven't seen the car yet (I'm currently 400 miles away from it) so I don't know if it got any scratches from the service.

My Review of Shelly BMW:
my cd changer wasn't working and needed to be replaced. Al told me that my cd changer would be in 3 days later. i come back 3 days later, he leaves me at his desk for 20 mins, then comes back to tell me that the cd changer isn't in. they tried calling all local dealers and said only crevier bmw had them in stock, and crevier wouldn't release one to shelly. so Al asks me if i want to wait for the cd changer to arrive. i get kinda pissed because this is the 2nd time i've made a 2nd trip to shelly only to find out that the work promised was not completed.
i go to crevier the next day and they told me that shelly is notorious for doing stuff like that because of warranty claims. ernie from crevier said that Al lied to me and that they would have released a cd changer to me. Ernie had me in and out of crevier in 2 hours with a new cd changer. Thank you CREVIER!
