No VIP in VIP deal Decided to try the service department because they have a "VIP" program with my employer. I called and requested an oil change. The person scheduling Decided to try the service department because they have a "VIP" program with my employer. I called and requested an oil change. The person scheduling it stated "ok, an oil change & tire rotation". I clarified that I was only asking for an oil change - unless the tire rotations was included in the same price and was assured it was. They called to tell me that I had not paid enough - they were charging me for the tire rotation. While on the phone, they did not provide any of the details of the inspection. When I asked upon scheduling, I had let them know it was going to need brake work and I would like to get it all done at once. They had also found a filter needing replacement and did nothing with it. The VIP program also included a car wash - this was never done. When I expressed my concerns to the staff, they did not even acknowledge the issues & seemed too busy to care. I called in later that night to express my concerns again. This person at least sounded nice on the phone. She assured me the manager would contact me the next day. It has now been nearly 3 weeks and nothing. Their customer service is non-existent and ethics highly questionable. No "VIP" program will ever get me back in there again. More

I had a good feeling about this deal simply based on couple of phone conversations. They've been holding my truck for me based on given word, picked me up from the train, offered a hot lunch. I'm absolutely happy with level of attention given to me as well as quick and professional handling of all purchase related procedures. Would definitely recommend. More
Usually good, but missed the mark this time! First of all, this is a great place, and I always come here for my oil changes!! Typically, they do a phenomenal job at whatever the task, but on 11/1 First of all, this is a great place, and I always come here for my oil changes!! Typically, they do a phenomenal job at whatever the task, but on 11/15/16, I really feel like I was taken for a ride! I went in for an oil change, tire rotation, and an alignment check. Oil change went great, tire rotation couldn't be done because I have two worn tires, and the alignment check showed that I needed one. After the alignment was performed, Eddie showed me what the alignment looked like before and after they worked on it. There were two items they "couldn't" fix, I inquired as to why and was told, "they couldn't see anything wrong." So I paid my bill, which was $90 for the alignment only, I had a coupon for the oil change. I should have inquired then as to why I was paying for something they, not only couldn't complete, but couldn't tell me WHY they couldn't complete it! I didn't feel like making a scene, and I was tired; upon arrival (3:45), I was told the whole thing would take "30-45 minutes,' but I didn't check out until 6:02! You should be thankful I choose to leave, I was hungry and irritated! The next day, I called to get a copy of the alignment paper (not sure why I wasn't given that the night before), and after expressing my frustration to Tara, I was told the service manager would call me about this. He still hasn't, so I still get to wonder why I paid for a service when I didn't get the ENTIRE service! **Both Eddie and Tara were extremely polite and did the best they could, I think. More

Shottenkirk took care of my vehicle as if it was their own. I was so pleased with the salesman/dealership, I purchased a new Avalon hybrid in 2016. Rick Mewes, my salesman, again made the purchasing experience very easy. I still travel 120 miles each way to buy from Shottenkirk and have my vehicle serviced there. Other Toyota dealerships need to take lessons from Shottenkirk on how to treat customers and their vehicles. More

He loved his car, but after about 1 month became ill, went to the hospital and passed away about a month later. My brother took the car back to shottenkirk to see if they would buy it back, knowing he wouldn't get the whole amount, but they told him it was worth $341. Yes $341. My dad drove it a month around town. If the car is worth $341, why did they sell it to an 83 year old man for $6500. Looking online it says it should be worth $3800-5000. I would advise anyone to keep driving and buy your car elsewhere. More
I drove over 120 miles to buy my new 2012 Camry from Shottenkirk. After being snubbed by other dealers in the St. Louis area and dealing with Shottenkirk for service in the past, I decided to try purch Shottenkirk. After being snubbed by other dealers in the St. Louis area and dealing with Shottenkirk for service in the past, I decided to try purchasing from them. The experience was the best and easiest car purchase ever. Rick Mewes did not use high pressure tactics and Kathleen Boone walked me through the purchase process answering my questions. Both made me feel as a valued customer. I would recommend Shottenkirk Toyota in Quincy to anyone looking for a car. The drive is well-worth it! More
