This was a pop-up appointment to resolve the issue of an engine malfunction warning light coming on in my 2012 Murano on a day when I needed to travel. Kayla Lambert worked me into the schedule, arranged for a diagnostic, gave me the results and the cost to fix, and we got my car repaired. The service was great. Then I went to pay my bill, which was just over $600. When I provided my credit card, I was told that there would be an additional finance charge applied for use of a credit card, which apparently is the new policy put into effect on September 27th. I've been a service customer for over 30 years, and I've purchased my last two cars from Southern Team Nissan of New River Valley. You never have a problem finding my email address to remind me of when service is due or to seek feedback after a service appointment. If you had found my email address and sent me a general notice of this change, then I would have brought a check with me to pay my bill that way, to give me an opportunity to keep more of my money just like you have instituted a finance charge to allow you to keep more of your money? I fully understand the need to go to a finance charge system given the state of our economy. But your regular customers should have been made aware of that as soon as the policy went into effect.
