Bought a used Lincoln MKX from Shannon Grove and it was a pleasure. Service department was a nightmare. Took my car to get a recall fixed and decided to get a oil change and coolant flush. Had to call at 5pm to get an update and was told that my glove box door was broke and the it would be $869.00 to fix it. I politely told the service advisor that my glove box door was not broken when I brought it in and was charged $282.00 for an oil change and coolant flush. Brought the car home and noticed it was leaking coolant. Brought the car back to the dealership and the car sat for 4 days before they told me that the water pump was leaking and it was going to be $3899.00 to fix it and that they wanted to change the timing chain while they were in there. I asked if the coolant flush that they did could’ve ruined the water pump. I was told that it was a crazy coincidence and that it wasn’t their fault. I was then told that if I wanted just the water pump changed that I would have to sign a waiver and that I would have to pay for it first! I told them no and not to touch it. This dealership’s service department is the exact reason why people HATE going to dealership’s to get work done. They do not stand behind their work. More
