Took vehicle thinking I knew what the problem was,tech agreed and was charged $220 diagnostic fee. Declined $300 repair. Called Stonebriar and service manager advised they charge a diagnostic fee whether they diagnosis it correctly or not, so i can only assume they will continue charging a diagnostic fee until they diagnose it correctly, if that ever happens More
The absolute worst experience I have ever had at a dealership. I've left many dealerships over the past 30 years because they couldn't get to the price I felt was fair but I've never felt personally i dealership. Almost purchased completely online (which is how I have purchased my last 3 vehicles) but really wanted to sit in a Tahoe first because I was torn between Chevrolet and a higher end luxury SUV. Completed the pricing on the specific vehicle to obtain a cash price to have my bank wire the funds if I liked the way it drove. Detailed pricing included a full breakdown of dealer add ons, taxes, title and all fees. Talked with someone over the phone to have the vehicle available when we arrived as they would have nearly 2 hours notice. Arrived and the vehicle couldn't be located as they thought the salesman who had the keys was gone to lunch. Took about 30 minutes to get to actually sit in the vehicle and drive it. I told the salesman i would take it and reminded that I had the print out of the final total so there was not a need to haggle on price so please don't even attempt. He left and was gone for probably 20 minutes (long enough that we discussed getting up and leaving) when he came back with a gentleman in a suit who presented himself as the sales manager and simply said "dont kick me but we aren't making this deal". He pushed the print out of final price (directly from their website) back at me and said I'm losing money on this deal and you don't even live in this area so I can't get my money back from you in services or repeat business so here is the new price. He slid over a new print out with the final price increased $7700. I stood up to leave and said "I didn't negotiate the first price, it came directly from your website and provided me a final total which is deceptive if you don't plan to honor your own prices." He said unless you want to finance with me so I can make money from financing. I'm not making a deal with you." Stonebrier basically told me that because I live in Oklahoma, they aren't interested in my business! Mind you, the comment about not getting repeat business from me is laughable because the only reason I looked at this dealer for the Tahoe is because my husband had just purchased a vehicle from them about 6 months earlier. I've never lived in Texas, but I've purchased my last 4 vehicles in the DFW area including the 2025 Tahoe that I purchased on that day from another dealer 10 miles down the road for the original price quoted from Stonebriers site without having to haggle or feel disrespected! More
Purchased a new Suburban from Stonebriar and was highly disappointed. The price of the vehicle was fair, but there were additional dealer costs that I was charged for, but did not receive. The sales person knew nothing about the car and I had to self learn all the technology. Come to find out, the rear view mirror camera was popped out of socket and angled down. When I called about this, my sales person said “I’m so sorry to hear about that. I didn’t even know your vehicle came with that”. To make matters worse, we were charged $500 dealer costs for “ceramic” tint on the vehicle. When I got home I noticed that the only tint on the vehicle was on the front two windows. I took the vehicle to have tint installed on the rest of the vehicle like I was told was already there, and come to find out the little tint they did install wasn’t even ceramic. Tried for days to get ahold of anyone to talk to about this. My complaints were completely disregarded by upper management. Passing my concerns around to the next person. Finally talked to Pete, and again, total disregard of my concern. I’ll never shop at this dealer again. Lied about additional dealer costs, I can’t even prove it has the “ceramic” coating on the paint. What happened to dealers treating their customers good and not using shady lying sales tactics to squeeze more money out. Overpromise and underdeliver is their motto. More
Service reps and sales agents helpful and have a good attitude. Need to push a bit sometimes for best service but you get there. Service dept does good work but slow even with appointment. attitude.
