What began with Bill Suntrup opening the first dealership in the 1960s has blossomed into a multi-generational, family-run automotive empire. Bill's sons, Chris and Tom, are partners in Suntrup West County Volvo, with Tom also serving as President and CEO of Suntrup Ford Kirkwood, Suntrup Buick GMC in St. Peters, and Suntrup Ford Westport. On the other side of the family tree, Don’s children, Butch and Craig, are proud partners in Suntrup Nissan/Volkswagen, Suntrup Kia, Suntrup Hyundai, and BMW of West St. Louis. As Craig Suntrup reflects, "We all started early in the business, around age 12, doing the grunt work—washing cars, cleaning parts, and painting walls."
