I have been working directly with finance manager Luis Hermida to lease a 2025 Honda Accord. Throughout this process, I was actively working with Mr. Hermida to finalize the lease documentation in good faith. At his request, I coordinated with State Farm and Assurant GAP to obtain the GAP claim number and current claim status. He is aware that I have made repeated, documented attempts to obtain this information. I even attempted to arrange a joint call with an Assurant GAP supervisor to ensure all parties had accurate information and to resolve the matter efficiently. Instead of clear communication or cooperation, my calls and messages were ignored. After days of no response, I received a text stating that the vehicle would be picked up and the leasing contract rescinded. Threatening vehicle removal or contract rescission while a customer is actively complying with requested documentation reflects aggressive, coercive, and improper business practices. This conduct demonstrates poor customer service, lack of transparency, and a failure to act in good faith. The use of intimidation rather than communication caused unnecessary stress during an already difficult situation and is unacceptable. I am requesting formal review and resolution from Tampa Honda’s General Manager. If this matter is not addressed promptly and professionally, I am prepared to file a formal complaint with the Florida Attorney General’s Office regarding these business practices. Upon further inquiry, I was then advised it would take 20 days. We are now 25 days into this matter. I have not encountered such delays with any other dealership regarding the payoff of a trade-in vehicle, having purchased approximately 15 cars before visiting your establishment. I am concerned that these delays, which appear to be at your dealership's discretion, may negatively impact my credit.
