Hi Ms. Brown - I am sorry for the frustrations you are feeling here with your vehicle. I am going to do my best to address each issue you are describing above. You towed your vehicle in here to us because it could not drive due to your vehicle falling down onto the front, driver's side wheel. Our go al is to get you back on the road as quickly and as cost effectively as possible. This is important to note as this is why there were multiple quotes sent. In an effort to save you money, we thought we would be able to use the current axel on the vehicle, and that is why the first two quotes did not include an axel for an extra $1000, because we were hoping that you did not need a new axel. We would not want to purposely charge you for a brand new axel, if you did not need one. So our technician did his best to try to make your axel work. However, as he replaced your control arm, and replaced your hub bearing, unfortunately the axel was just too damaged to function. And at that point, we have to make you aware that you are going to need a new axel, which is why there was another quote sent. I can see how this can frustrate you, as you think we are just adding and adding expenses to you, but I promise we were actually trying to save you money by using the current axel. Additionally, GM does not provide loaners for vehicles that are not under GM manufacturer warranty and that do not take more than 24hrs to repair. I sure wish they did, as we would have gladly helped facilitate a vehicle for you, but in your case as you had 106k miles on your vehicle, you are out of GM warranty and therefore they would not qualify for a rental vehicle. When your vehicle was in here initially, the technician notated that your ESC light was due to your low voltage codes associated with the battery, but your battery tested okay in your initial visit. So again, in an effort to save you money, we did not replace a battery that passed testing. Unfortunately, in the time from when you left, to when you had to bring the vehicle back, the battery failed testing, which is causing your ESC light. If your vehicle, did not have a broken control arm, hub bearing, and damaged axel, all we would have had to do is replace your battery, should it had failed at that time, and your ESC light would have been addressed. Also, as we drove your vehicle to try to get it to duplicate the ESC light, we did have to use your gas in the vehicle. We put 72 miles on it, and as a Traverse gets over 20 MPG, we used 4 gallons of gas. However, as your vehicle was towed to us because it could not drive, we had to replace all of those other parts to get your vehicle in drivable condition. I am very sorry that you had to endure these unforeseen and unplanned for circumstances, however I can guarantee you that we have your best interest at heart, and are trying to get you back on the road in the most cost effective way possible. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions you may have and if we can be of any help in the future we most certainly will try to help. Thanks, Drew Cullen
