If I could give Thrifty Car Sales ZERO stars, I absolutely would. I purchased a vehicle from this dealership and within a very short time the engine warning light began coming on repeatedly. I b absolutely would. I purchased a vehicle from this dealership and within a very short time the engine warning light began coming on repeatedly. I brought the vehicle back multiple times while it was still under warranty, and instead of fixing the issue, staff simply reset the warning light and told me everything was fine. Two months later, the engine is completely dead. When I tried contacting the dealership for help, my calls were ignored. When I finally reached someone, I was told, “Oh well, it’s your car, you bought it.” That is completely unacceptable customer service and shows a total lack of accountability. During this process I dealt with multiple staff members including Esteban Tellez, Larana Rochelle, and other sales staff who were aware of the ongoing issue but failed to ensure it was properly repaired or followed up on. Management and leadership, including General Manager Moe Owji and Dealer Principal Tony Tousinezhad, ultimately oversee these operations and are responsible for how customers are treated and how warranty issues are handled. I was sold a defective vehicle, misled about its condition, and the dealership failed to honor their warranty obligations. I have since had to involve my bank, file complaints with state agencies, and document everything just to protect myself. This experience has been financially stressful, time-consuming, and completely avoidable if the dealership had acted honestly and responsibly from the beginning. If you are considering buying from this dealership: • Get everything in writing • Have the car inspected independently BEFORE buying • Document every interaction • Do not rely on verbal promises If you believe you have also been misled or sold a defective vehicle here, file complaints with the California DMV Dealer Licensing Division and the California Attorney General’s Office. These agencies exist for a reason. Consumers deserve honesty, safe vehicles, and accountability. Based on my experience, this dealership has provided none of those. Proceed with extreme caution.
