What they do is fill your car with oil to the full mark. Then put a seal on all oil outlets , dip stick ,drain plug ,valve cover, oil filter,oil fill,and maybe some others that i don't know. So you cant take out oil during the 1,300 mile test ( don;t go over ,or they will void the test) The first time to the discretion of dealer, oil was not burning enough. I had to go twice, that's 2 half days lost of work for me (no loaner available) The second time they said, O! we didn't tell you, come back 5,000 between testing. Half day lost from work. And they put me in for the visit! The true second testing was done and again at dealer discretion , oil was not burning enough. 2 half days lost. Service manager said (after 1 quart oil replaced) its on the full mark. So i was not awarded the repair. The repair would be pulling the engine out and replacing pistons and rings. My complaints are 1. not telling me about coming back in 5,000 miles between testing. 2. Telling me that the full mark is not good enough for the repair. 3. Losing a total 2 and a half day from work.
