Shady service dept, They tried to convince me to update my firmware for $200 to correct a problem that’s existed since 2019 in Rav4s and Camrys. They’ve known the problem has existed for years, but waited my firmware for $200 to correct a problem that’s existed since 2019 in Rav4s and Camrys. They’ve known the problem has existed for years, but waited until my car’s warranty has expired to mention the firmware problem. When I questioned why they waited, the service dept. said it was tough luck since my warranty had expired, and referred me to Toyota Corporate in Texas. I detest taking my car in for service because of sleazy sh!+ like this. More
