Had the truck I wanted, but underpaid me a paid for my trad in, but that was to be expected. Overall, the transaction was seamless and no hard sales tactics. I want to warn others about my recent experience at the Tracy Toyota Dealership. For the past two months, I’d been in contact with them regarding a Grand Highlander Hybrid. I reserved the car, and they sha Tracy Toyota Dealership. For the past two months, I’d been in contact with them regarding a Grand Highlander Hybrid. I reserved the car, and they shared the VSPEC sheet with me—clearly showing no dealer markups. Every time I asked about the price, including as recently as yesterday, they insisted the vehicle would be sold at MSRP. However, after the test drive today, they suddenly mentioned “one more thing”: they typically charge $3,000 over MSRP. When I pushed back, they offered to “discount” it to $2,000 above MSRP. I called out the bait-and-switch and walked out. Just sharing this so others are aware of these deceptive practices before wasting time at this dealership. More
