My Review Of Turnpike Ford Charleston/Marmet:
We discovered a brake failure in late afternoon, Monday the 4th when we stopped for a restroom break at a nearby Hardees. We had arrived in town halfway in our journey from Detroit to Raleigh, NC for a surprise birthday visit to our daughter, there. Inquiring at a NAPA store then a nearby garage, as to where was the nearest dealer.
We arrived at 4:30 or so at your Turnpike Ford and were greeted by a smiling Mike Tanner who immediately put our ’06 Escape on a lift and diagnosed the problem, a broken line at the front right wheel. Simple enough except no part could be found through your usual sources. But tomorrow, Tuesday, it could be repaired by 8:00 and we’d be on our way.
That meant a lost day and an overnight for our family consisting of my wife, handicapped and using a walker, my daughter and her two children, 6 and 8 years old. With a little out of the box thinking, a third supplier was suggested but with no account, we’d need cash for the part, $25.00 which we gladly paid and Willie was off to pick up the part. Two hours later we were on the road feeling safe and happy.
To help fill our waiting time, someone tuned the TV in the waiting room to Sponge Bob Square Pants to the delight of the kids along with the chocolate bunny lollipops while one of your staff made a fresh pot of coffee. Your staff was cordial and accommodating making the best of an unfortunate situation.
We can only offer our thanks to your staff and especially Mike and his crew, at Turnpike Ford, Marmet, WV. Good service is a the key good business and you put that into practice. It creates a feel good experience that carries the day. But, apparently, you already are aware of that.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
