The first vehicles was a Jeep Patriot and everything was great with the vehicle until after the warranty ran out. All of a sudden it needed $4,000.00 worth of suspension work and it was dangerous to drive according to the service tech. We also get from the dealership that this is a problem with the Patriot so we decided to trade it in and we purchased a new 2019 Jeep Cherokee. Fast forward to 2024, warranty expired, 2 payments left on the vehicle that has less than 50,000 miles and my wife brings it in for the "complimentary oil change". When my wife gets there she mentions she feels a bit of a vibration once in a while and can you check it out and please rotate my tires. The service advisor comes to speak to my wife and this is what the "ADVISOR" or whatever person tells her( and its also on estimate invoice). "Brake pads are at 8MM but rotors are warped with rust ridges and rust on the backside. $1,350.00 plus tax. Driveshaft bearing leaking from input transmission estimate to replace is $2,025.00 plus tax. Rear shocks leaking $589.00 plus tax. Estimate total $3,964.00 plus tax. What a coincidence, close to $4,000.00! So my wife, just absolutely amazed at the outcome of an oil change, tire rotation and "Multi Point Inspection ask for the video walk around of the issues as Valenti did in the past and was told "we don't do that anymore". Asked for pictures, which she did finally get, but was told they were on the techs personal cellphone and she couldn't get them. THEN, she was asked when she wanted to schedule the repairs. My wife absolutely refused to schedule, explained she was going to discuss with me, her spouse, and we would go from there. Then the "scare" tactics begin-your driveshaft may fall out, your brakes may fail, yada yada yada. She told them to get me my car as I am leaving. They also said they test drove the car but my wife never seen it leave? Teleportation, super secret entrance/exit nobody can see, underground tunnel? SO....we brought the vehicle to my mechanic and he will be looking everything over and HIS estimate for a complete brake job is $500.00 cheaper before even taking the wheels off. As far as the vibration I wonder if Valenti balanced the tires before rotating? BOB, you lost a customer and I wouldn't advise anyone to use their service! More
Service dept doesn’t answer a phone, let alone return a call . My truck has been at the dealer for over a month - and it was only after finally having a service Manager paged by the operator that they real call . My truck has been at the dealer for over a month - and it was only after finally having a service Manager paged by the operator that they realized the part was never ordered that is needed for repair . Had they returned a call , or picked up the phone they may have realized this oversight sooner. Additionally there was evidence of a “joy ride” . This includes branches that were stuck UNDER both wipers, mud in the wheel wells and a bent inner rim ( dually). So this experience has been ridiculous and unacceptable. That said , the Valenti family are good people and they do an enormous amount of good for the community. That makes this review all the more disappointing. If you use the service dept - take pictures of your ride / before and after . Good luck More
Normally recommend family friends everyone to go here they are good in sales the service department over charges for parts agreed at set prices and includes labor. Then gives a invoice months later after they are good in sales the service department over charges for parts agreed at set prices and includes labor. Then gives a invoice months later after our last recorded phone calls and text messages stated I stil have credit left. Anything that is non stock item must be paid for up front and this shows here someone is trying to reach some numbers. Otherwise place is great in and out everyone’s nice this really upset me to have to post this due to showing loyalty going to them over anywhere else on top of friends and family. I told the service manager when he said there’s a open balance I need to look back at my calls and texts and I’ll get back to them he calls immediately 4 to 6 times I have in my call logs each day. I was traveling do you think someone has that first on their mind to read over someone else’s mistake. And he knows I’m there almost every two weeks for oil change and tire rotation but plays it like I didn’t even come in saying I was traveling and would get back to him. Trust me I have recorded calls and texts from when my truck was gonna get work done or parts ordered oh parts on back order no update let’s not call him he will call and follow up. Not happy at all. Sales is finance is magnificent though. Mark in service is very responsive someone needs to create a system to alert customers when parts arrive not his fault it’s whoever is in charge of that department the service manager again. Paul is very friendly the quality of work comes out good it’s mainly quality of keeping customers informed. Not adding extra to a agreed price with proof of text messages too and calls. More
The worse service I have ever experienced My 2013 ram 2500 had a CEL like come on followed by a message on the dash that I have 200 miles till the truck starts a 5mph max so me and my fiancee My 2013 ram 2500 had a CEL like come on followed by a message on the dash that I have 200 miles till the truck starts a 5mph max so me and my fiancee went straight to the dealer an 1hr away I walked in and asked if someone could plug into my truck and let me know what could be wrong and was told sorry we have noone here to help you sorry we can't do anything for you. I don't understand how you can spend $40000 dollars on a truck and within second of having a problem be told sorry can't help you. This truck has caused me more problem then any vehicle I have ever own.(all dpf junk) so we left and if something catastrophic happens to my truck because there to lazy to walk outside and plug into my truck then what oh sorry it isn't warrantied because you drove with the CEL light on. I will add my sales man and the financial guy there when I bought the truck were the only good and kind people there. More
i had a terrible experience with the service department about a year and a half ago. i would have shared this story sooner, but have only just today discovered this website.... i brought my jeep libert about a year and a half ago. i would have shared this story sooner, but have only just today discovered this website.... i brought my jeep liberty in to inspect a weird clanking noise it was making, as well as a strange jump in the RPMs while idling. they told me my transmission needed to be replaced, and gave me a laundry list of things they claimed my car needed to be road legal... totaling over $9000. i was devastated, but skeptical, so i took my jeep to a local shop for a second opinion. he put the car on the lift and showed me each thing that was and was not wrong with my jeep. turns out, it only needed a new transfer case, along with some smaller work. for $1800, my mechanic had me back on the road and running better than ever. fittingly enough, my mechanic apparently worked for valenti's service department before opening his own shop, and told me that though my quote was high, it was not unusual for velanti's service department to make a practice of overcharging and overworking people's cars to make a dollar "when they see an easy target" Valenti's service department, though polite and pleasant, was clearly trying to take advantage of the fact that i am a girl who is not super-familiar with the mechanics of a car, and tried to get me to either unnecessarily spend $9000 OR strong-arm me into a new car purchase. the mechanic even said (im paraphrasing, but) "there's no sense in spending that much money, you might as well go look as some of the new jeeps we have out there." valenti has the single worst service department i have EVER dealt with, and i will never return. The tr Valenti Service Department - Ford After three visits to the service department to correct the manual transmission, our car again won't shift. The transmission works for two to three months before it becomes difficult and finally will not shift into gear. Conversation with the owner resulted in his volunteering for us to take the car to the dealership a fourth time in two years, for review, consultation and potential fix, at our cost. While transmissions do wear out, it seems curious that ours worked for over 100,000 miles before it continually failed to shift after an additional 5,000 to 10,000 miles and a couple of months. In our experience, multiple trips to the service department every year for the same problem is unsatisfactory. The price may not be bad, if the work ultimately fixed the problem. More
