Was told I needed my rear brake shoes replaced. I was quoted a price range of $500/$550. I took my truck to a local repair shop and they told me the rear drums have never been off the truck since I was quoted a price range of $500/$550. They are great - took care of the issue. 1. I knew within the first half hour that I wanted the car, but it took me 5 hours to complete financing and drive away. That is way too long when I already knew I wanted the car. 2. I bought an XLE Pr car, but it took me 5 hours to complete financing and drive away. That is way too long when I already knew I wanted the car. 2. I bought an XLE Premium $30K car, and I feel the very least it should’ve included was the floor mats. 3. I accept the documentary fee required by the state. However, the Car Doc fee was presented as non-negotiable, despite that not being included in the original price quoted to me. Additionally, we were offered a package that ultimately did the same as the Car Doc, so I insisted the Car Doc be removed. When I discussed it with Steve further, he let me know he would only make $100 off the sale if I had the Car Doc fee removed. Perhaps you should pay your employees more if this is the case. 4. On my receipt, the tax on the doc feed was listed separately as $40.25. The doc fee was $575. Both Kentucky and West Virginia sales tax is 6%, so the tax should have been $34.50. I questioned the additional charge and was told by the financing personnel that “for some reason” the computer generated that number at more than 6%. Not to mention, the overall sales tax listed on my itemized bill was more than 6% of the total purchase price. This was my first car purchase, and when people ask about my experience with this dealership, I’ll make sure to warn them about your additional sale tax. More
