My Review of Woodford Motor Co:
My Pontiac sensor indicated the engine needed to be checked. I was told that it would cost about $45 for the initial check. Then I was told it was the transmission and that would cost approximately $2450 but that they could flush it and put in new fluid for about $200 which I agreed to. That didn't fix it so they then told me the car had an oil leak that would be about $650. They could look at it again and possibly do a partial transmission fix for about $800. I asked what the car would then be worth and was told that it would be about $3000 less the cost of fixing it. That would mean I would be paying them more money than the car was worth and have nothing. The sales people started calling to try to get me to trade the car when I had made it clear that I had no intention of buying another Pontiac.
I took my car to another establishment for a second opinion and found that it had could be (an was) repaired for $178.12 in one day. Woodford Motors had my car for three days and could only tell me how much it was going to cost.
In my estimation the whole thing was a set-up to cheat me and/or get me to buy a new car. The only other possiblility was that the mechanic knows absolutely nothing. In either case, people need to know to not take a car there for repair because they certainly will be 'taken to the cleaners'!!!!
