I took my vehicle in to get the purge valve fixed. - Kristin
I took my vehicle in to get the purge valve fixed. When I called they said that's probably what's wrong with it according to the check engine light code. When I got there it took them five hours and $423 later to change a different part. My check engine light came back on 6 days later. After googling the problem, I found out the purge valve should be changed first. I went to Oreilly's and bought the part and installed it myself. No more problems. Then 4 months later I get a letter from Chevrolet saying they know this a problem and will fix it free of charge. But since I didn't have this specific problem fixed at the dealership I won't be reimbursed. When I called the dealership, they informed me that I should have brought it back in and it would have been fixed for free. They did not tell me that there was any kind of warranty on their work. I WILL NOT BE BACK!
